Employee Highlight: Shruti

Meet Shruti Rai, our Customer Service Manager! Shruti started with CloudAdvisors in 2019 as a Data Entry Specialist. Since then, her keen interest in learning and growth in her communication skills has seen her switch roles into customer service. We’re so thankful for her hard work and persistence over the last two years!

A little bit about Shruti.

Shruti was born in the village of Mohammadabad in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Due to her father's job, she was raised all across the country until her family settled in Varanasi where she currently resides today.

She completed her Bachelor of Commerce in 2018 from Udai Pratap Autonomous College. After completing her degree she moved to New Delhi to look for an internship while taking some technical courses. After not finding success in Delhi, Shruti’s cousin Avinash called and told her of a Data Entry Specialist position with his company CloudAdvisors. After interviewing with John and Rahul, Shruti joined the team in 2019!

Since joining the team, Shruti expressed interest in dealing with clients directly in a series of semi annual reviews. After being briefed in the handling of clients via tickets on Zendesk, she’s taken more responsibility and soon hopes to learn about generating reports and account creation.

Fun fact! Much like her cousin Avinash, Shruti admires Tony Stark for his intelligence and strong family values.

What do you like about working at CloudAdvisors?

“When I started at CloudAdvisors I didn’t know anything about data entry, the insurance industry, or the inner workings of an organization. I love the flexibility we have to work on our own schedules. I’ve opted for a hybrid schedule where I go into the office three times a week and work from home twice a week. I find that working from home can be distracting sometimes and I love being able to problem solve with my team members in the office.?

I would like to say thank you to John and Rahul for believing and trusting me to develop my communication skills and deal with clients directly. I made mistakes at first, but they helped me recognize them, learn from them, and grow. It means a lot to me that they’ve given me the chance to explore my interest in customer service.”

What do you do outside of work for fun?

“I love listening to music! My favorite artists are Arijit Singh and Justin Bieber (I got hooked on Baby). I also love watching Korean Soap operas on Netflix. Recently, I’ve been binging Crash Landing On You and Start-Up.?

I also love to travel and take photos of new places. I love visiting holy places. My favorite place is Haridwar Uttarakhand in the north of India. There are temples of gods and goddesses on top of the mountains, it’s amazing! It’s made me want to travel to the Himalayan mountains in the north one day. Like my cousin Avinash, I also would love to come visit Canada and meet all of my Canadian CloudAdvisors team members.”
