Employee Highlight: Anand

A little bit about Anand.?

Anand was born and raised in Dehri-on-Sone, a small city located in the Bihar state of northeastern India. Anand moved to Varanasi in 2006 to complete highschool, then moved to Kanpur to attend Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University where he completed an engineering degree in Computer Science in 2013. Anand was inspired by his late grandfather in 2014 to move to New Delhi and go back to school to complete a certificate in PHP to enhance his web development skills. “He really inspired me to continue to learn new things and to remain focused on my education.”?

Fast forward to 2018 when Anand was called by his friend Jay who was currently working for Innovision Tech Solutions, Tanmaya Singh’s first company. Jay informed Anand that Tanmaya was hiring a data entry specialist for a company called CloudAdvisors. After interviewing, Anand was on-boarded onto the team. In 2020 due to Anand’s diligent work he was promoted to Customer Support Engineer and has worked with the Canada team ever since.?

What do you like about working at CloudAdvisors?

“What I really love about CloudAdvisors is our ability to constantly enhance my knowledge on a daily basis. My current role is more specialized to a few types of data entry and custom reports for clients. However, I still pull out specific data for individual clients which comes with its own challenges.

I also really appreciate the flexibility at CloudAdvisors. I want to mention that during lockdown I had difficulties adjusting to my new schedule of working the night shift. I would sometimes fall asleep in the middle of my shift. It took an adjustment period but now I really enjoy the flexibility of working the night shifts as it allows me to see friends and family during the day. So I really want to thank John and Diane who believed in me and continued to praise my work.”

What do you do outside of work for fun?

“I’m a big foodie! I love to cook and go out for meals at restaurants with friends and family. My favourite thing to cook is anything with chicken in it but especially butter chicken.?

I love to travel. I’ve traveled across India; from Pune, New Delhi, to Jaipur and Kashmir. I recently got married earlier this year and currently my wife is completing her Bachelor of Arts out of province. But, my wife and I are planning a tour of Goa soon to celebrate our marriage. We also hope to travel to Canada sometime soon!

I also love to just disconnect by going for walks outside and putting earphones in to play some of my favourite songs by my favourite artist Kumar Sanu.”
