The average level of turnover is way too high, and a hinderance to our society. This level of turnover is also not economically sustainable, when considering financial stats such as it costing twice as much as an employee's salary to replace them.

The trend is fueled by employees continuing to chase a higher wage and their own self-interest, which is entirely reasonable. With this being said, it is the organization's job to retain their talent, and foster an increased vested interest among their workforce to stay as well as grow with the organization.

In this episode of The Great Leadership with Jacob Morgan , Jacob explores the three crucial components of the employee experience: physical space, technology, and corporate culture. Learn how to create a great experience for employees who aren't in the office, how to use technology to make your organization more human, and why leaders should embrace the corporate culture.

"With every job, every company you work at, there's things you like, and things you don't... I take into account everything that actually goes on with this company behind the scenes, and there's a lot of misery... We're paid on commission, you know you expect you made a thousand dollars this week, you get your check and it's $500. You go to the office, say hey y'all said you weren't going to take my material out, the accountant would say that's the way it's supposed to be."
