What is Design Thinking in Business ?

Customer centricity where you think and design your product keeping customer at its core.

What if you replace customer with employee in this design thinking ? This is what the new age HR practices is all about !

  • Product thinking -Employees fall into the same category as your customers, which means that you're selling an employment product and not just employment. For that reason, we should think of the brand, perception, value proposition, and core journeys accordingly.
  • Policies and processes needs to be scalable with a long term view and needs to fit in the culture of the company. Think of creating a 1-2 page policy guidelines instead of lengthy policies which no one is interested in going through in the organization. Simplify and execute smoothly.
  • Have simple measurable goals and that are not complicated but give the right direction and purpose to people.
  • Have a competency mapping exercise to identify what makes a team member successful in a particular role and then use these competencies for recruitment ,succession planning or performance management.
  • Build Feedback mechanism for an overall positive employee experience and continuously monitor eNPS

All these pointers if done well, can amplify employee experience and help in creating a high performing, healthy and purposeful work culture.
