Employee Diaries - Kyla's story on falling in love with your workplace

I joined Lumen in October 2021 as a PR manager. On my first week, we had just launched a major integration with Garmin, and to say the least, I dove straight into the water, head first. I worked with our business development team, product, and leadership to coordinate the announcement, and it was the best way to get familiar with the company atmosphere.

Since then, the level of trust and freedom I got as a PR manager has been very empowering. It was never about not going forward with an idea, but rather making sure it was impactful, meaningful and driving our goals forward.

Partnering with UFC? Great, let’s go get a major athlete to be the face of our campaign. Data about intermittent fasting? Let’s launch a release and work together on making this data accessible. Writing a founder profile? Grab our founder for as much time as you need to make that happen.

And maybe that’s one of the things I love doing the most at Lumen- spending time with the remarkable twin sisters Michal and Merav Mor. I'm a little obsessed with them! I sometimes wonder how they managed to invent something from scratch when I fundamentally understood that it was because of their bond and togetherness.

So Lumen, for me, is exactly that- Togetherness in making a great product and vision work.

Today, as Head of Media Relations, I shape the Lumen story on a global scale - and my job is pretty easy when I think about all the stories we have from our twin sister founders, our health data, our product features that personalize nutrition even further, the influencers we work with and the medical experts leading the field who just want the chance to be part of modern nutrition and health tech.

I recently won an award for Top Women in PR- and it’s all thanks to the daily inspiration I get working here, the encouraging words, and the support that makes me believe in myself. So thank you Lumen, for helping me grow into a better version of myself.
