Employee Appreciation
"As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them." John F. Kennedy

Employee Appreciation

Appreciation is the state of gratitude or act of thankful recognition. It is the act of estimating the qualities of things and giving them their proper value.

Did you know that the number reason people leave their jobs is that they don’t feel appreciated? The act of thankful recognition requires some thought, and giving employees their proper value requires daily action.

Companies think that employee appreciation is easy, right? All we have to do is give recognition.

While recognition is a part of employee appreciation, it alone won’t retain employees. The act of thoughtful recognition is much more profound. If your company uses the recognition method often, it is now the standard practice.

Why aren’t companies celebrating the employees who build the dream daily? In both professional and personal ways. Giving employees their proper value requires investing effort in understanding their individual’s needs and goals.

As leaders, lead your team toward growth and development. Your team consists of unique employees with different talents and gifts that should be nurtured and appreciated. It is your company’s competitive edge. “Companies with happy employees outperform the competition by 20%.”

Create a win-win for your bottom line revenue and employees. Switch your company’s focus to employees since they have the most contact with the end-users of your products and services. Employee focused companies show employee appreciation daily.

By focusing on your employees, they will be customer-driven. Appreciation has circular effects. When you show your employees appreciation, they feel obligated to return it through improved engagement, productivity, and company loyalty.

Think about what you produce when you feel appreciated?
