In this rapidly changing world, where the pursuit of material wealth often takes precedence, my spiritual journey began in the year 2012 with the inner engineering program conducted by Sadhguru.
This was the time when my cut-throat transactional leadership approach found a new lens of transformational leadership. I immersed myself in the teachings of luminaries like Sister Shivani as well as with some other revered figures that brought me to the point of nurturing my inner self and others by way of upholding some fundamental attributes of viewing people and scenarios at the more macro level and that was possible only after recognizing, valuing, and identifying people’s potential with their core values and not merely the temporary results.
As I embraced these timeless principles, something remarkable happened. I discovered that the wisdom I had gained in my personal spiritual quest had profound relevance in the professional sphere. It wasn't about chasing success for the sake of it; it was about embracing a holistic approach to life and work.
Over the years, I've had the privilege of quietly applying these concepts to my leadership journey, though the echoes of Dr. Deepak Chopra's work resonated deeply. The truth is, these principles have been the foundation of a leadership style that enabled the building and nurturing of large teams that remain connected even after our paths have diverged. The essence lies in understanding the power of blessings – that they flow through us, and when we share them, they multiply rather than diminish.
Although Dr. Deepak Chopra's seven laws are self-explanatory, I have found through personal experience that the key to achieving the pinnacle of one's career or success lies in applying them individually and diligently. However, the laws are not linear in nature and are interconnected.
The Law of Pure Potentiality, for instance, clearly emphasizes the transition from the unmanifest to the manifest, encouraging us to unfold our true potential and align with this power through mindfulness as a continuous practice. Recognizing that everything already exists in the universe is the first step toward manifesting it. All the qualities, values, and resources needed for success are already present.
The Law of Giving and Receiving is applicable in all aspects of life. It's my belief that giving without expecting anything in return naturally leads to abundance and reciprocity. If you desire love, learn to give love; if you seek attention and appreciation, be willing to give these as well. When you give, you create space to receive in return.
The Law of Karma underscores that we are connected to a greater cosmic power, and upholding ethical practices and integrity are foundational values. When our actions align with these principles, they not only bring us happiness but also benefit others. In other words, acting with the right intention, gratitude, and in-forgiveness creates positive karma, liberating us as leaders and individuals.

The Law of Least Effort underscores the profound impact of inner intelligence and creativity, which flow effortlessly and fearlessly. Abundance arises from acceptance, freedom, and acknowledging things as they are. Accepting situations and people as they are reducing the strain of changing the environment for leaders, allowing creative expressions to align with your purpose.
Law of Intention and Desire: Quoting Pablo Picasso, "What one does is what counts. Not what one had the intention of doing." My definition of success revolves around setting the right intention, visualising it, radiating it towards the universe and following it with the right actions, eventually leading to the realization of our desires. It is crucial to note that the intention should be pure and selfless.
The Law of Detachment reminds us of the impermanence of all things, an eternal truth. Clinging to specific outcomes or attachments creates illusions. Instead, we should diligently pursue our tasks objectively, driven by pure intention and a commitment to doing our best, allowing the results to manifest naturally. Attachment to outcomes, criticism, appreciation, or relationships leads to ego. Focusing on inputs without expectations and attachments ensures that results will come. As leaders, we often become attached to our leadership styles and values, but when we remain detached, we are fluid and can grow and adapt as leaders, staying relevant.
The Law of Dharma, or purpose, reveals that each individual harbours a divine essence yearning for full expression. It is our moral responsibility to unearth this talent and follow our inner calling. When we do, our authentic selves emerge, both professionally and personally. Everything you have done or are doing is exactly what you were or are meant to do. And being devoted to that action is Dharma.
"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming 'Wow! What a ride!'". Just like the quote by Hunter S. Thompson, we should not view life as a small spec, but rather as a grand adventure to be lived to the fullest. When we do this, we open ourselves up to the possibility of achieving great things, both personally and professionally.
So, in this ever-changing world, let us remember that true success isn't merely about chasing wealth; it's about embodying timeless spiritual principles in our professional journey, a journey that empowers us all.
