Chaitali follows an Innovative and Creative design approach involving a fine sense of aesthetics, and functionality, and adds a unique character to every design.?Being an emphatic listener, persuasive speaker, and Art connoisseur, Chaitali loves mentoring school students aspiring to become architects.
Chaitali says: "?I believe in adopting a lifestyle that reflects a socially and environmentally responsible approach and my decisions are majorly impacted by understanding the difference between wants and needs. I, passionately work on myself to learn something new every day and try to contribute so as to leave behind a minimum carbon footprint."
Meenakshi Sharma through her organization 'Use Me Works' is working on the concept of upcycling and with the help of her team upcycle more than 200kgs of waste every month. She also educates and trains people to be responsible for their waste by teaching them how to make utility and decor products using waste. She also believes handcrafting is a great stress buster and a wonderful skill that stays a lifetime. Through her products and workshops, Meenakshi is trying to revive the lost skills of handcrafting old and discarded materials like old clothes, bottles, cardboard, etc.
Subir is the Curator-at-large at Kunzum, a chain of bookstores in Delhi-NCR where he has managed to convince his employer to pay him to fund his addiction to books and wristwatches.?
In his personal life, he cares deeply, albeit quietly about the planet and tries to minimize his carbon footprint on a daily basis by making choices that are better for his favorite animals on this planet, Bats and the Octopus.
Why should you consider these summer workshops?
Do you want to give children a unique summer experience that is not just fun and engaging but also builds life skills for a global world? Through these summer workshop sessions, kids will develop confidence, creativity, life skills, and empathy for people as well as the planet!
Delivered by experts from diverse fields, our Summer Workshop Series is the perfect balance of learning, engagement, and fun. It is a chance for children to experiment, be creative, build confidence, and be challenged to achieve different skills in a low-stress, enjoyable learning environment.
How big is the workshop venue? Can children with disabilities attend?
The workshops are taking place in a well-lit, clean hall of Theatre Kunzum, at M Block Market, GK2, New Delhi. This venue can easily accommodate 100 people. We are keeping the number much lower per workshop so that children have enough space to move around and work.
We welcome all children to join, including children with disabilities.
There is a lift/elevator to reach Theatre Kunzum once you enter the building. However, we apologize for the fact that there are 2-4 steps at the entry which are a barrier for a wheelchair user. The toilet attached to Theatre Kunzum is also not accessible for wheelchair users.
We hope these barriers will be overcome when we do this event again.
