Emotions at Work: Developing Psychological Safety

I'm excited to share our new learning solution for optimising individual and workgroup performance through fostering a psychologically safe team culture. I love this workshop! With a focus on the critical role of emotions at work, it builds capabilities for ensuring team members operate in the 'broaden and build' mode of positive emotion rather than fight, fear, or freeze. Barbara Fredrickson at the University of North Carolina?has found?that positive emotions like trust, curiosity, confidence, and inspiration broaden the mind and encourage divergent thinking and creativity as well as prosocial behaviour and collaboration. Similarly, Amy Edmondson from Havard Business School has found psychological safety leads to team members feeling more engaged and motivated, leads to better decision-making as people feel more comfortable voicing their opinions and concerns, and fosters a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Overview

In this half-day workshop, team members and leaders learn how to foster a productive, respectful, and inclusive workplace culture, identify gaps by reflecting on where they are now compared with the optimal ways of working, and set personalised action plans for strengthening psychological safety.?

Delivery
