Emotions to encourage productivity during uncertain times

We all have wide range of emotions; positive emotions when you get project which is aligned with your expertise and interest and you know this will definitely drive your growth in your career and organization. There are other emotions where you know that you are trying to adapt new working culture, not able to understand your leaders and their decision which is driving emotions like anxiety, uncertainty etc.

It’s important that we need to know about emotions that these are absolutely normal and there is nothing wrong about it. Every emotion has their unique value, it actually shakes up to tell that something is not going right or vice versa. Right emotions at our work can drive motivations and desire.

How should we really connect emotional outcomes with productivity.

Take small breaks from work specially when we go through negative emotions during uncertain time e.g. frustration, anger. Again these feelings are extremely important when you calmly think about why we are getting these feelings, I mean the source and calmly think on these things. We can get huge benefit out of these emotion to drive positive outcomes.

Find the right emotion we are going through this uncertain time. It’s extremely important to accept the feeling we are going through, once we accept it we will able to understand what this emotion apparently yourself is going through.

Name our emotion and try to find what is source of this emotion. things happening around you might be contributing to this emotion. Did any behavior Or discussion motivated to these emotions?

Once we find the source of your emotion see if this is useful for your situation. we really need to think this calmly and see if there is anything we can do to change the source of emotions. again further emotions are related to choice make while thinking about the whole stuff.

Now when we have better understanding of our emotion to current challenge avoid the irrelevant emotions and start thinking on implications and main reasons behind our relevant feelings. We can actually get more insights if we have focus thinking on our emotions; my personal favorite is to have white board session with myself to see if this emotion is asking to take different decision, reason behind that decision, do we need to take advice from my mentor etc.

Managing emotions in such way needs lot of practice and mental acceptance to deal with it. Give your self-time to think over all above and take your decision and support it completely. Its only you and your mind can stand HIGH and encourage the productivity during uncertain time.

Well articulated on the emotions that we all engrave in our workplace. Sometimes we don't accept the fact that we all have some negative thoughts within ourselves. A Leadership quality is thriving by you.
