Emotionless Entrepreneur

Every person born with built in emotional E factor. It does not matter whether you are clerk, HR, Sales-executive or CEO or even entrepreneur, you got your personal life. You have emotions with your near and dear ones and with your life. You have up and downs there as well. If you are at your young age then you have rejections, possessiveness and break-ups , dates to handle. Any family/personal problem has vital role to play in your entrepreneurship journey.
If you are leader who meet and greet people and inspire in the organisation then you need to be careful with your emotions. Everyone is entrepreneur of their life. How we manage our life with joy, relations, finance, problems, worries etc... itself is like running organisation. One who manage life successfully can run the business successfully ( most of the time) . We have many resources work for us to keep us healthy and wealthy life i.e parents, spouse, friends , well -wishers.
If you are entrepreneur then it is like running two organisation. You need to manage each one carefully and without any ambiguity and conflicts. As entrepreneur one must and should inspire team, co-founders and most important to family who supports in all time. That is primary THE character of entrepreneur in my opinion.
In last week of Jan 2018 I was down with some personal problem and it had huge impact on my team and indeed productive of the organisation. I realised how my presence of mind works in office, how team take my inspiration for work. I found being entrepreneur is not about emotionless it is about how you hide your emotions and keep up the sprite in the team.
One cannot controller emotion coming on the way of life but one can for sure control them so that other wont see it and should not effect on any. Keeping yourself motivated and focusing on goal is much important than seeking emotional empathy from others. You can share with closed ones that definitely improves your mental and emotional stability.
Knowingly or unknowingly we will showcase our emotional health to audience who catches quickly. One need to be careful from such audience. Being a leader you sit on different chair hence sometime audience could not dare to offer empathy. You are not showcasing your emotional status rather you inviting frustration for not being cared and loved. So now your emotional health going further down.
When you sit around your team and work together then you need to be more wise and strong to hide those from team. Most of the time being leader you will have younger team than your age. it becomes difficult to mingle and share with team. I feel having like minded co-founder helps during these kind of down times to share and seek for emotional empathy.
One need to run company more decisions from the head than the heart, but having good heart always helps in bad times. One should take decisions from the head and ask answer from the heart. One just can not wear emotionless mask all time. Running company is all about wearing the different masks, wearing mask always helps to take tough decisions. If one knows which mask to wear when, then definitely it helps. As "All the statements are of the moment" ,same way "All masks are of the situation" . The one who wears right mask at right time wins the game and one with same mask remains in same place for long time. Which essentially means business is all from the mind, from the head and one who plays games through mind wins quickly.
Be wise and tough entrepreneur .

6 年It's True Ullas,,it's more of a Synergy between mind & heart,not either of them alone,that should drive any business. Never let heart overpower mind.
To play a business game, one should start with some different strategy, so that there is chance of win is more with more risks. As being a leader, involvement in the team with other employees also impact the business.
