Emma's 289ft Anniversary Abseil

As you are all aware I have been fundraising for the wisdom hospice charity for many years and I’m pleased to announce that we have reached the milestone 40th anniversary.
What you may not realise that I have also reached my 20th anniversary for working with the hospice in the same year!
To mark this massive achievement I have challenged myself to complete the following….
A 289ft abseil off the iconic Lloyds of London building in London’s financial district.
Also built in the 80’s and one of the most recognisable pieces of architecture. The building was built as the headquarters of Lloyd's of London, one of the world's largest insurance firms.
The internationally renowned Lloyd's building was designed by the architect Richard Rogers and took eight years to build. Also just like the hospice it was opened by Her Majesty The Queen in 1986.
I would like you to help me mark my anniversary in this special year by donating to my JustGiving page. I’m hoping to finish by reaching our daily target of ￡2,500 but just getting over the top and down in one piece is where I’m happy to start!

8 个月Update I just wanted to check in and say a huge thank you to everyone who’s sponsored me. ￡25 could help fund an hour of care delivered by one of the hospice specialist palliative care nurses. Our team target of ￡1,750 represented 70 hours of care. As a team we’ve raised ￡1,829, but we’re not done yet we’re determined to raise more for this brilliant hospice. Go Team High Fliers ???????? Ps it’s less than 2 weeks until we all go down the side of a building instead of using a lift like normal people!!! If you can spare some pennies to support this wonderful cause I would very much appreciate it and of course I know the hospice would too ??
