Emi's participation in ReactConf 2024 primarily involved immersing himself in the React community, where he experienced firsthand the endless possibilities that React presents. Emi found himself among fellow React enthusiasts, where a vibrant energy was palpable as discussions revolved around the latest advancements.? "The sheer number of people dedicated to React and the diverse ways in which they utilize it was astonishing," he remarked. "It's a world even larger than we imagined."

What’s more, one of the most remarkable takeaways for Emi was the sense of community that filled every interaction. Whether engaging in conversations with fellow React experts or seeking guidance from seasoned developers, Emi found himself surrounded by a network of support and collaboration. Used to mere client interaction and local networking, Emi described a “different kind of connection.” He explained: “We delved into topics like performance and efficiency, sharing our coding practices and learning from others."

What were some of the most memorable sessions or workshops you attended at ReactConf 2024?

Two particular talks left a lasting impression. The first, "Forget About Memo," by Lauren Tan from Meta , focused on the React compiler and offered glimpses into the future of development. The talks showcased not only the technical advancements but also their profound impact on our development processes.

A second talk by Evan Bacon, “Introducing Universal React Server Components in Expo Router,“ was also great, with its prototype universal server component for React Native. Having witnessed the capabilities firsthand and realizing the endless possibilities was mind-blowing. I also got the chance to hear from tech luminaries like Dan Abramov, whose insights I often follow on Twitter, and interact with Lauren Tan and Joseph Savona.

Reflecting on the conference as a whole, what insights did you gain from your interactions with other developers, enthusiasts, and industry leaders?

Beyond individual talks, the conference made me appreciate the open-source community and the complexity involved in building code for widespread use even more. It's not just about writing code; it's about creating something meaningful. Meta’s dedication to this cause, for instance, was evident throughout the event.

Another aspect that truly impressed me was the vast diversity of React's applications. Whether it's for web development, mobile apps, or even desktop interfaces, React's adaptability knows no bounds. Its versatility makes it a viable choice across various industries and platforms.

How do you plan to leverage the knowledge gained at ReactConf 2024 in your ongoing projects at Eagerworks?

I brought back with me not only insights but also a renewed sense of purpose in what I do and how I code. The experience not only broadened my understanding of React but also redefined my approach to development. Thanks to this fresh inspiration and updated knowledge, I am already infusing my ongoing projects with a new sense of direction, that will hopefully lead to better results.
