Emily Hamilton Recognised with Double Awards

To receive an award is always a great achievement, but to receive two in the same month is truly a testament to the accomplishments of the recipient.

This has been the case for Emily Hamilton , Vice President Strategic Change, Product & Supply Management, who during Pride month received two amazing awards.

The first, was awarded at the global ‘ THIS CAN HAPPEN ’ Awards, held in London, which celebrates excellence in workplace mental health. Here, Emily received the ‘Founders’ Choice Award’ - given to individuals who has displayed outstanding service to mental health.

Alongside hearing her name called out to receive the award, Emily was also surprised with a video comprised of wonderful testimonials from colleagues and friends. You can see it for yourself below.

Moved, Emily comments: “To be at the event and be surprised with a video of testimonials from colleagues and friends was really overwhelming - in addition to receiving such an award which is the personal gift of the founders of such a prestigious organisation as 'This Can Happen' was something I am and will be incredibly proud of.” See her reaction to receiving this award in this video:

A week later Emily was at the British LGBT Awards, hosted by ex-British?Bake Off?host Sue Perkins, and was named as one of the top 10 ‘inspirational leaders’, for her work in amplifying LGBT voices in business.?

Emily said: ‘Being in the room with so many inspirational people from across a broad spectrum of business, politics, entertainment and music was something I'll remember for a long time.”

As a two-times suicide survivor, Emily is only too aware of the mental health challenges facing the LGBTQ+ community and particularly the trans community, of which she is a very proud member.

Emily has worked hard and thoroughly deserves these awards. We are all proud of her achievements and the work she is doing to ensure that we can all bring our true self to work.
