Carolina Quan Joins Global Fintech as Chief Strategy Officer

Emida Technologies is proud to announce a new senior leadership structure as the Company continues to expand into a worldwide technology provider and global fintech.

Introducing Emida’s new Senior Leadership Team effective June 1:

Carolina Quan joins Emida as Group Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) and Country Manager USA. Bringing more than 20 years of experience in global fintech, Quan joined Emida in early 2024 as a consultant and has been a key asset for the Company’s growth extending key customer relationships. Quan will be based in Miami and spearhead Emida’s US general operations along with International and Domestic. Her main focus will be continuing to develop the US business while implementing controls and promoting a winning culture.

Guillermo Sura joins Emida as Group Chief Sales Officer (CSO). Sura will ensure that all Emida’s distribution, sales operations and street teams are working under one single winning strategy. Based in Emdia’s North Mexico office, he will have direct responsibility over the North Mexico operations and field agents in the US, working as a team and on a coordinated basis with all three Country Managers in the US, Mexico and Colombia. Sura’s strong market physical presence, providing boots on the ground, will also be a key asset in growing Emida’s digital strategy.

Carlos Alvarado is promoted to Group Chief Data Officer (CDO). Alvarado has been with Emida since 2023, taking on several positions and playing a key role in the initial deployment of the North Mexico Operations launch and in implementing business intelligence processes throughout the organization. As Emida’s first Chief Data Officer, Alvarado, who will be based in Mexico City, will oversee a range of data-related functions within Emida including data management, ensuring data quality and creating data strategy.

Oscar Cortes is promoted to Group Chief Information Officer (CIO). Cortes joined Emida in 2011. He has been working closely with the Bogota team for several years and has proven to be a strong leader with the right combination of experience to become CIO. Cortes, who will be based in Mexico City with frequent travel to Bogota, will focus on implementing Project Elephant, an initiative between Emida and Seamless Distribution Systems. He will also be

responsible for ensuring that Emdia’s team in Bogota has a direct liaison with the rest of the Company offices.

Angelica Pelaez is promoted to Group Chief Product Officer (CPO). Pelaez has been with Emida for nearly two decades, leading the Company’s Product Team for several years, ensuring that all customers’ needs are properly designed and at the forefront. As CPO, she will leverage her extensive experience in product architecture while also guaranteeing the needs in Emida’s commercial areas are properly scoped. Pelaez will be based in Bogota.

Piers Boucher is our new International Operations Manager and has an impressive career spanning over two decades in the telecom industry, Piers has cultivated a deep expertise and a commendable reputation across various countries in the Caribbean. His extensive experience includes leading cross-functional and culturally diverse teams to achieve excellence in execution, distinguishing him as a leader in the region. Piers has a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects and their associated budgets, demonstrating his capability to drive significant business results. His strategic insights and leadership will be invaluable as we continue to expand our international operations. Piers will be based in Mexico City.
