Last week we talked about the threats of AI to the human workforce. The concern was that as robotics and artificial intelligence develop further; even many skilled jobs may be threatened. Technologies such as machine learning may ultimately allow computers to do many knowledge-based jobs that require significant education. According to a McKinsey study, Artificial intelligence could displace roughly 15% of workers, or 400 million people, worldwide between 2016 and 2030. It is pertinent to note that AI heightens the demand for workers with advanced training and skills. The requirement in recent job vacancies is now changing from having just the necessary education, experience, and skills to having depth knowledge of using technological tools. Companies are interested in creativity and innovation as they are curious to meet up with the technological demands of the 21st century. Thus, workers must step up their skills by learning and re-learning. It is true that learning never ends. The quest for knowledge and the thirst for more will be the only way to retain your work as a worker otherwise you risk losing to AI. The advantages of emerging technologies are enormous and serve as pillars for the future of work, thus replacing traditional working ethics and practices.

Moreover, the concept of AIOps offers a better and more productive way to manage IT operations.
