These days we could see number of development in Indian gas sector. Lot of impetus has been given on gas based economy. Government seems quite supportive and pushing gas share in energy mix from 6.2% to 15%. Also NGT and other institutions are putting lot of efforts to adopt clean fuel which has changed the entire scenario.
Now people are realsing that this is one of way reducing substantial carbon emissions and cutting import bill on crude oil. Similarly China, S. Korea and Japan are looking forward to cut crude oil and shifting more on clean energy. Which has set momentum in International energy market which would change Geo political and Geo-economic equations. This would be very interesting to see in future how OPEC countries cope with this new gas dynamics.
