Emergency services should embrace the voluntary sector, says charity chief

Happily reading through old issues of Hansard, I found some great quotes from the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster - an archaic sounding title but also known as the lead Minister for resilience in the Cabinet Office. Responding to a report from the Covid Inquiry in July, he said that cooperation not division should drive preparedness.

He’s right and my conversation with Robyn Knox MBE for our story of the week shows that in spades. She heads up the VCS Emergencies Partnership and shares how she thinks the emergency services and volunteer sector should cooperate more and learn together. Find out more below.
