The California Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR) has published a Notice of Proposed Emergency Action to alter regulations governing pest management professional licensure and certification costs.
DPR proposes amendments to sections 6502 and 6505 of Title 3, California Code of Regulations. These amendments pertain to license and certificate application, renewal, and exam fees.
DPR also proposes to update related forms with the new fee structure and make non-substantial changes. The affected forms include applications and renewals for:
Public Comment Period
A public comment period was opened on July 23, 2024, and ended on July 28, 2024.
Review and Approval Process
On July 23, DPR sent the emergency action proposal to the Office of Administrative Law (OAL). OAL will consider the proposal and make a decision within ten days. The emergency regulations will go into force on August 5, 2024, if they are approved.
