Imagine a customer service system built with the power of the latest in AI tech, that can talk to you like a real human being.

Meet SuperTOBi - our new Generative AI virtual assistant that’s coming to customers across Europe! SuperTOBi is the next generation of our existing chatbot TOBi, which already supports customers in 13 countries across Europe and Africa and understands 11 different languages.

SuperTOBi is powered by Microsoft Azure OpenAI It has been introduced in Italy, Portugal, Germany and Turkey, with other markets to follow later this year. In Portugal, SuperTOBi contributed to first-time resolution rates increasing from 15% to 60%.

Vodafone and Google extend their partnership ????

We’ve also announced a ten-year strategic expansion of our existing partnership with Google to bring new services, devices, and TV experiences to millions of Vodafone’s customers across Europe and Africa, supported by Google Cloud and Google's Gemini models.

NG-SOS emergency app hits 4 million downloads ????

Vodafone Foundation ’s life-saving app NG-SOS hit a major milestone over the summer when it achieved 4 million downloads.

NG-SOS helps people in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia and Austria connect directly to emergency services, and will soon be launching in Bavaria, southeast Germany. To date, the app has supported over 200,000 emergency calls across Europe. ?

At the click of a button, the app provides the most accurate information about the caller by sending their location, medical profile, next of kin contacts, mobile battery status and more, enabling a faster and more personalised response which saves lives.

The first Mobile Private Network at a nuclear power plant in Europe?????

Vodafone and Czech energy company ?EZ are strengthening the safety of Europe’s first 5G-equipped nuclear power plant.

Together we’ve installed a 5G Mobile Private Network (MPN) at Temelín Nuclear Power Plant, to create a highly secure, isolated wireless network and to support in critical operations.

5G is also being used to enable new ways of communication, such as replacing walkie-talkies with augmented reality glasses. This means technicians can now visualise plans, which streamlines operational processes for the better.

Vodafone Germany announces plans to install solar panels across network sites ????

Finally, Vodafone Germany has announced plans to install solar power panels across its network sites.

This new initiative supports our aim to become CO2e-neutral in our own direct and indirectly generated emissions by 2025.

Once installed, these panels could generate the equivalent energy per year needed to charge a small electric car almost 28,000 times and drive around 6 million kilometers.
