Embryo's SEO Performance Analysis of Garden Building Sites??

I’ve chosen the following six websites to see which ones are doing well and which ones are performing best: They are Garden Buildings Direct, Olympian Garden Buildings, Dunster House, Forest Garden, Garden House 24 and UK Garden Buildings.

Organic Visibility

Currently Garden Buildings Direct has the highest visibility score however that has had a dip in recent weeks since the August update. Dunster House has the second highest visibility score. They have had a slight increase in that same period that Garden Buildings Direct have declined.

Forest garden has the third highest visibility score. The other three sites have fairly low visibility scores in comparison.

Garden Buildings Direct

As you can see even though Garden Buildings Direct has the highest visibility score. There has been a decline in visibility since August. This coincides with the latest Google algorithm update. This would need a further investigation to see what needs to be implemented to stop the decline.

Garden Buildings Direct currently ranks 39125 keywords and 25% of these keywords are on page 1.?

Olympian Garden Buildings

Olympian Garden Buildings has a fairly low visibility score due to lack of keyword reach. The year has been fairly consistent and there has been no real sustained period of growth.

Olympian Garden Buildings currently ranks for 4872 keywords and only has 16% on page 1.

Dunster House

Dunster House has seen some recent improvement in the last few weeks. However they did see a decline this time last year. Overall though again they have had a fairly consistent year.

Dunster House currently ranks for 28175 and 17% of these keywords are on page 1.

Forest Green

Forest Green saw an increase around March this year. However they have seen that visibility drop again from May. Surprisingly they only have 5% of keywords on page 1 even though they have a strong domain authority.

Forest Green ranks 16,910 keywords and has only 6% on page 1.

Garden House 24

Garden House 24 has seen a steady decline for most of the year. They are currently at a year low. I would definitely recommend further investigation to see what is causing this drop in organic visibility.

UK Garden Buildings

UK Garden Buildings have a good year and have seen good growth. However in comparison to other sites we have compared they are still way behind in terms of organic visibility as they only rank for 914 keywords.

Organic keywords:

The amount of industry-related keywords that each site can be found for is always an interesting set of data that can tell you a lot about the successes and failures of particular brands.

Garden Buildings Direct currently ranks for the most keywords on the site ranks for an impressive 40,000 keywords. They are followed by Dunster House which ranks for over 28,000 keywords. Then Forest Garden that ranks for just over 15,000 keywords.

Referring domains:

Unsurprisingly Garden Buildings Direct has the most referring domains.Then followed by Dunster House and Forest Garden. This shows the power of these websites and a combination of a strong domain and very good content strategy explains why they are ranking for so many keywords.

UK garden Buildings has the least referring domains and a low domain authority shows why they don't have as much keyword reach.

Domain Authority:

Garden Buildings Direct has the highest domain authority. Followed by Forest Garden. Dunster House has a DA of 36 which shows they must have a very good content strategy as they have a much wider keyword reach to Forest Garden.

UK Garden Buildings has the second lowest domain authority. Surprisingly Olympian Garden Buildings has the lowest DA.

Summary:

I would say that the garden buildings industry is open for someone to really dominate. Even though currently, there are a few major players as they don't have real stiff competition.

I believe that with a very good customer-friendly website, you could develop a great content strategy about the history of garden building design, write content around current trends and styles, and offer expert advice on how to choose and arrange garden buildings for your garden. As well as a great digital PR strategy targeting garden design blogs, magazines, and social media influencers, you could really cut through and compete with the big players.

That would be my advice to any aspiring garden buildings brand. Any one of the other brands in this market if they were to follow that strategy could be in a much better position this time next year.

Of course, these are my opinions, given after taking a look at the snapshot data that I have collected. I am sure that if I delved deeper into each piece of information, I would find many more things that would steer my thoughts.
