Hello Purpose Seekers,
In this edition, we delve into a theme close to my heart: the journey of becoming a multi-purpose entrepreneur. Many of us, driven by purpose, face a unique set of challenges when opportunities arise. Let me share my own experience and the struggles that purposeful entrepreneurs often encounter.
When you fully embrace entrepreneurship, it feels like you start attracting ideas and opportunities from every direction. Yet, I remember a time when I spent an hour each day on the train, desperately trying to figure out a way to leave the corporate world that no longer fit me. It was like my brain was in a fog, unable to see any potential opportunities.
The transition from a corporate mindset to an entrepreneurial one is far from easy. When you've been conditioned to do the same work for years, thinking outside the box is a daunting task. Even when a spark of an idea emerges, it's often quickly shut down by self-doubt: "It's too hard," "I don't have the skills," "I need lots of money to start." Before you know it, you're back to square one.
When you're stuck in this cycle, there's only one thing to do: take a break from everything. Create a fertile emptiness around you to see your purpose and gain clarity about where you are and where you want to go. If you can't take a long break from work, then take a few days here and there or weekends to really recentre yourself and face yourself.
The first meeting with yourself can be quite painful. However, as time goes on, these meetings become bearable and eventually enjoyable. This is where you become comfortable with your true self, start to listen to your inner voice, and see opportunities arise from everywhere. At that point, your problem shifts from being lost to prioritising which opportunities to pursue first.

For me, an eye-opening experience happened when I visited my country of origin, Morocco. I went there to get a Moroccan couch and handmade Moroccan tiles called Zellige for my home. I fell in love with the story behind the Zellige product and deeply connected with the artisans who manufacture it. This connection inspired me to create a business in Australia to sell Zellige and Zellige-influenced products. Stay tuned for more information about this beautiful project that has been such an inspiration and focus for me lately.
In my own entrepreneurial journey, there were times in the early stages when I couldn't see how things would work out. The "how" was unclear, but the "why" was always strong. It turns out that the "how" reveals itself as you continue on your journey, chasing opportunities until they start chasing you.
In conclusion, if you want to follow your dreams, take the time to face yourself. Reconcile with yourself by seeking and finding your purpose. Become comfortable with who you are, and your journey will begin. Yes, it will be filled with fear, uncertainty, and doubts, but your strong purpose and clear vision will guide you. Trust that the "how" will reveal itself along the way.
Stay inspired and keep pushing forward.
