In the year 2019, when I turned 19 years old, I started realizing that everything around me is changing drastically. In this journey of self-realization and awareness, I started questioning my purpose in life, and my dreams and aspiration. To make sense out of this I started watching documentaries, reading books, blog posts, and articles on this topic. I started analyzing my thoughts, behavior, and life as a whole.
Sometimes the questions like where am I in my life, what am I doing with my life, people of my age have achieved so much, why am I not in that certain position, will I ever be able to achieve my goals, etc. Hit me hard. Here is what I do;
1. Try to explain to me that unlike you a certain person has been given certain opportunities to reach there. If those opportunities are not given to you. Then, it’s not your fault. Therefore, stop being harsh on yourself.
2. Journalize my emotions, give myself some alone time to clear my thoughts and emotions. And jot down how I can work on my goals.
3. Explain to me that every individual has their starting and ending point in life. Our timelines are different, so are our problems, insecurities, losses, and life obstacles.
4. Try to change my perspective. We always look at what is been given to someone else, we don’t know what has been taken from them.
Do you ever get this feeling that you are standing at one place and a fast-paced bullet train called life is passing by? Do you ever sit and think about whether your life has a meaning, purpose, or value?
If yes then we are on the same boat! Let’s embrace the void and have the courage to exist.
Looking forward to read your responses below.

4 年We do get these valid questions. But what makes us going is looking back as to where we were and where we are right now and that gives me the strength to move with this challenging times. Surely everyone has their own piece of strength coming from within themselves or their genuine support around.
