Embracing Portholes

I was driving with my son one day on a road filled with portholes, the galloping was so much that he started complaining about his hate for the road! In his words: “Why is the road so shaking and shaking? I don’t like this road!
He became so persistent with the complaint that I had no choice but to listen to him because, for me, it was normal to encounter portholes in most of our roads and I see no reason why he should be complaining. So, my first response was do you want to go to Chuchu’s house or not? I asked because we were actually going to visit a family friend. And he said, “I want to go”. Okay if you must go, you must endure these portholes without complaining because you can’t be distracting me while I’m driving and he said okay Mommy, but at that moment something struck me!
Do you know how we are so anxious to get live our dream life but are never ready to enjoy the portholes on the way? I am actually crying writing this because I know how much I want my dream life to become a reality but am never ready to accept the fact that the setbacks I experience are all portholes on the way.
Like my son, I am putting out to you today that you may not like where you are at the moment but understand that you can’t be where you are forever especially if you have a dream destination in mind which is another important reason you must walk in purpose because if you don’t know where you are going, you are going nowhere! Not going anywhere actually makes the portholes unbearable which is one of the major reasons so many people give up in life.
My son accepted to enjoy the portholes because he knows that we will soon get to where we are going and then he gets to enjoy playtime with his friends. Do you see how vision helps you withstand the discomforts of life?
I hope this message is helpful to you. Where are you going? Are you experiencing portholes? It’s a matter of time before you get to your destination. Keep riding!
Kindly share for others to benefit.????
Yours in thriving,??????
