? Embracing my love of wandering: my path to creativity & leadership?

Fractional CMO: Small Business, Associations, & Non-Profits
One of the top questions I get asked is how I juggle life between New York and Southern California. The secret? Both places are my home, each enriching my soul and creativity in unique ways. I found that bicoastal life isn't just about moving between two points on the map; it's about merging the best of both worlds and finding what's rich, vibrant, and inspiring in the two.
Whether I'm soaking in the energy of the City or basking in my beautiful California sun, I find my creative edge sharpened and my leadership style more inspiring. This unique blend of experiences also fuels my life as a business owner and fractional CMO, turning each coast's distinct vibe into innovative ideas and strategies for not only myself but also for those who entrust their brands to me—my clients.
I recently posted this Reel on Instagram, capturing a few days in my NY life. It was several impromptu decisions—from restaurant hopping to a contemplative 9-mile trek in the rain, and each moment was a masterclass in adaptability and flexibility. I know how to do NOMADism, well. I've been doing it for nearly 15 years since I first started my company. I was remote a very long time ago. I've almost always had an office, but I've always spent a ton of time working from various #WorkPLAYces!
I've known for a long time that my best ideas come when I'm moving and when I'm on the 'road'. I'm grateful for the impact this has had on my career. As a fractional CMO, I serve as a pivotal force behind small businesses, responsible for crafting and executing strategies. There's something about learning to gracefully pivot and embrace the unpredictable this has been great character-building.
Here are three specific ways these experiences shape my approach:

As I continue to navigate the terrains of both business and adventure, I'm reminded that the greatest asset we have is our perspective—shaped by experiences, inspired by movement, and driven by an unquenchable thirst for what lies beyond the next bend. I'm grateful to continually learn to leverage opportunities, no matter how unplanned, to foster creativity and leadership that truly sets a new standard on any project I touch.
I'm thankful to be living this season of life, I've discovered the key to maintaining my version of a bicoastal lifestyle is to embrace each place with an open heart and letting the uniqueness of both coasts guide my creativity, work ethic, health, well-being, and perseverance. It's about finding balance in the journey, and joy in the running between.
Above all, my heart is full thanks to the PEOPLE. My family, best friends, colleagues, and even the strangers I've met on this journey—all have enriched my life immensely. I'm deeply thankful for everyone who's been a beacon of friendship and light along the way.
The best is yet to come,
M
