Embracing and loving our B /Backup plans

From time to time I dedicate a part of my time to contribute to transformation projects through coaching or mentoring to individuals or organisations . A few weeks ago I experiencia a situation that led me to a simple reflection?that I wanted to share with all of you: the concept of plan B or backup plan and the low appreciation we have for them.
Plan B seems to be the plan that we activate both in the business and in the personal life projects when our main Plan (Plan A) does not lead to the expected results we had planned.?This appears to be the reason why plan B,s born with a relevant stigma of failure.
This negative stereotype keeps us away from realizing that business realities and the reality of our life is composed of multiple plans A, B,C, D….and all of them deserve the same appreciation, love, illusion to embrace them, enjoy them fully and see them as an ocean of new unknown opportunities .
How would have been our professional or personal lives if we had embraced our back up plans with the same level of energy and self/confidence as we originally devoted in our so named Plan A?
How many of us live our life wishing our Plan A could have been successful? Looking backwards and not enjoying back up plans as part of the natural flow of our personal and business happenings
Great post Guillermo. Fully agree that reality is never as we planned. I remember fantastic strategic?plans that never happened as market and environment dramatically changed. That′s why I think it is critical we help?our teams (and ourselves ) to become resilient while we develop?agility and sense of urgency to find new solutions or new action plans fast .

3 年Really good post!. The most interesting projects are those like real life with several doubts, good and bad moments and great people supporting you whenever is needed.
