Embracing Life's Cycles: A Journey of Closure and Renewal

Life is a series of cycles, each offering a unique opportunity for growth and transformation.

Recently, I've been reflecting on this concept as I prepare to close one chapter of my life and step into a new one. As I approach my birthday on October 13th, I've been deeply engaged in rituals and practices to create space—spiritually, emotionally, and physically—for the unknown that lies ahead.

The Power of Rituals and Intentions:

Over the last 52 days, I've dedicated myself to cleansing and organizing my inner and outer worlds. This process has involved meditation, setting intentions, decluttering my home, and sorting through papers and documents. Through these actions, I've experienced a profound sense of renewal, as if the pieces of my old self were falling away, making room for new possibilities.

I've come to understand that what exists in my life is there because I give it strength. By letting go of expectations and judgments, I aim to allow my true self to manifest fully. This is essential for embracing the new cycles of my life.

Understanding Life's Cycles:

Cycles are a natural part of life, helping us recognize the end and beginning of different phases. We often overlook their significance, viewing them as burdens rather than growth opportunities. As Clarissa Pinkola Estes describes, cycles are a necessary process of birth, death, and rebirth in every aspect of our lives.

When I realized I needed to close my birth cycle, I felt a mix of ecstasy and overwhelm. I was excited to have the time to set new intentions and create space for clarity. However, the task felt daunting, and I sought help from a few close friends. Despite their busy lives, I tackled the process individually, understanding that investing energy in this transition was crucial.

Embracing the Unknown:

As I approach this new cycle, I don't see it as a source of fear but rather as an opportunity to embrace the unknown (my favorite new place to create from). I plan to build from this space of uncertainty, letting go of past expectations and reaching for experiences I have yet to savor. This fresh approach allows me to see life differently and innovate in my daily practices.

Closing cycles intentionally create energetic space, eliminating stagnant energy and allowing for a new movement—the vital force of life. My rituals include meditation, contemplation, and intentional space for myself. I've also implemented dietary cleanses and fasting to create literal space in my body, alongside emotional fasting to release old patterns.

The Challenge of Letting Go:

Letting go has been a painful journey for me. For years, I struggled with the concept, which led to a deep depression in 2015. The lack of tools and awareness about the importance of letting go held me back. Now, I see it as an opportunity for new experiences and perspectives on life.

I envision my true self manifesting in this new phase as more light, spontaneous, joyful, and smooth. Accepting my purpose allows me to help others connect with their true selves.

Creating Space for Renewal:

I've removed items from my home that held stagnant energy, including papers and documents from my late husband. Sorting through these boxes was a challenge, but I knew it was necessary to release that energy and welcome new possibilities.

I've engaged in deep cleaning and refreshing spaces to allow new energy flow. In my emotional space, I embrace forgiveness, striving to avoid becoming anchored to past situations. I maintain this intentional space in my everyday life.

Advice for Those Facing Transition:

For anyone preparing for a significant life transition, my advice is to embrace it in your way. Focus on one habit at a time, understanding that adopting new habits in the same environment can be challenging. I aim to continue practicing emotional mastery and ingraining the new habits I've developed.

In closing, life's cycles allow us to redefine ourselves and our paths. By embracing these transitions with intention and openness, we can create a life filled with renewal and growth.

Thank you for joining me on this journey of closure and renewal. May you find inspiration in your cycles and embrace the opportunities they bring.
