A Legacy Reborn
The 992.2 maintains the iconic silhouette that has made the 911 an automotive legend, but with modern refinements that enhance its presence on the road. The flat-six engine, a hallmark of Porsche’s engineering prowess, has been updated with T-Hybrid technology, ensuring that the 992.2 not only performs with breathtaking speed but also embraces efficiency.
The new T-Hybrid technology combines emotive engine sound with outstanding performance and vailable from launch with the 911 GTS models, it is paired with a completely redeveloped 3.6-litre flat six engine, with an electric exhaust turbocharger that ensures faster boost pressure for better acceleration. Like the Porsche 919 Hybrid racing car, energy from the exhaust is converted into electrical energy in recuperation mode.
Performance and Agility
At the heart of the 992.2 is a powerhouse engine that delivers a thrilling 0-100 km/h acceleration in just 3.0 seconds. This incredible performance is complemented by an advanced eight-speed PDK gearbox, providing seamless gear transitions for an exhilarating drive. The new rear-axle steering system ensures unparalleled agility, allowing for sharper turns and more precise handling, making every journey an adventure.

It all adds up to even more impressive performance figures than the predecessor of the new 911, the type 992. For example, the 911 Carrera GTS (type 992), accelerated 14 metres in 2.5 seconds; the equivalent type 992.2 model – the 911 Carrera GTS T-Hybrid – covers 21.5 metres in the same time. Looking at performance figures for selected models of the new 911 (type 992.2) sportscars, the power output of the 911 Carrera GTS is 541PS and a 0-100km/h (0-62mph) time of 3.0 seconds (with Launch Control). Top speed checks in at 312km/h (194mph). In 911 Carrera form, the power output is 394PS, with a 0-100km/h (0-62mph) time of 3.9 seconds (with Launch Control) and a top speed of 294km/h (183mph.

The 911's new curved display
Featuring a 12.65-inch curved display, the new instrument cluster of the new 911 puts the focus on the central rev counter or power meter with boost and recuperation display and its classic ‘five-tube view’. Drivers can select the reduced Sport Chrono screen, while the surroundings and route can also be displayed in 3D on the display.
The New 911's brakes
The new 911 GTS models are equipped with a powerful aluminium monobloc fixed-calliper brake system for outstanding braking performance. The callipers are finished in red but available in black if requested. There’s also a switchable brake ventilation channel in the underbody, which optimises braking performance and aerodynamics. Optionally available are the lightweight PCCB (Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake) ceramic brake discs with yellow callipers, for even better braking performance.
The New 911 features more tech than ever before
The new 911 is brimming with tech and assistance systems. ParkAssist system, which includes a reversing camera, Lane Keeping Assist, cruise control, traffic sign recognition, including curve warning and fatigue detection, are all part of the standard equipment. But 911 models can be further equipped with additional assistance systems that further increase driving comfort and safety.
The 911 GTS models come with the Sport Chrono package, including stopwatch, Porsche Track Precision app and tyre temperature display, which all come as standard on the GTS models.
