EMBRACING GOD'S GRACE.

FOUNDATION SCRIPTURE:

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God..."

HOLY SPIRIT, HAVE YOUR WAY

Our culture constantly tells us that we have to earn everything through our own efforts and achievements. From an early age, we're conditioned to believe that success comes through self-reliance, hard work and proving our worth. While diligence is admirable, this mindset can creep into our spiritual lives, causing us to subtly think we can earn God's favor through our own righteousness.

This Scripture verse powerfully reminds us that our salvation comes not through our own efforts, but through the unmerited grace and mercy of God. We could never be "good enough" to deserve eternal life. It is His free gift to us - a gift we simply receive through faith. ALL GOD WANTS IS FOR US TO SERVE AND OBEY HIM.

What a relief this truth is! You don't have to struggle or strive to prove yourself worthy of God's love and acceptance. Because of Jesus Christ's finished work on the cross, your salvation has already been purchased. You are saved by grace alone, not by works. All we have to do is accept, repent and come back home to The Father.

This freeing truth should motivate us to live in a life of humble gratitude, respect and trust. We don't have to fear that God's love is conditional or that He will abandon us when we slip up. His grace covers our failures and meets us as we repent, with mercies new every morning.

Let this assurance increase your love for your compassionate Savior. Rejoice that He doesn't deal with you according to what you deserve but according to the immeasurable riches of His grace! Let us extend His grace to others.

When feelings of guilt, condemnation of what we did in the past or the need to earn God's favor creep in, return to this glorious truth: You have been saved by grace through faith alone ans all God wants is for us to serve and obey Him. This is the gift of God - received not achieved! Stand in that freedom and hope today and always, amen.
