Starting a new business can be an exciting and promising experience. The anticipation of success, dressing up in cute business outfits, and seeing money enter your company account can make anyone fall in love with entrepreneurship. However, what happens when the initial excitement fades and doubts creep in? It's in the doubts and silence where the real test lies. Who will you be? Will you show up or run away? Whether your stay or run there's a lesson to be learned. In the depths of failure, we discover our true resilience and courage. I failed that test several times by religiously giving up and quitting cold turkey on my dreams one by one. But in those moments of failure, I found the strength to endure and the courage to rise again.
I have learned that failure is not the end of the road but rather the beginning of a new chapter. Through my failures, I have discovered my purpose and succeeded in unexpected places, like co-owning an RV rental business with my husband. More importantly, failure has led me to a place of self-discovery and personal growth.
Let's go back in time a little. I was a bodybuilder, gym manager, personal trainer, and business owner, and I excelled in matching my words to my actions. It was great, but I felt an urge to enter the corporate world, where the art of persuasion can be the name of the game. I became fascinated and focused on the power of words to sell any vision, including my own. Unfortunately, I forgot that I also needed to sell myself on my vision, which led to my downfall professionally, personally, and emotionally.
I found myself falling into depression, drowning in self-doubt and insecurity. But amidst the darkness was a glimmer of light – my husband. He stood by me through it all, offering unwavering support, pushing me to improve daily, and unconditional love. With his help, I emerged from the depths of despair stronger, more resilient, and more driven than ever.
As I prepare to welcome a little girl into the world, I am reminded of the importance of perseverance and resilience. Motherhood has become a driving force in my journey, fueling my determination to create a better future for myself and my family.
So, did I buy into my vision? Yup. I realized God had a plan for me all along, requiring late nights, sacrifices, and unwavering faith. My calling became clear – to create a holistic approach for women to succeed. And that's exactly what I've been doing.
During this journey, I've been busy creating a prenatal and postnatal workout program, becoming a 500HR Registered Yoga Teacher, and building a company that helps women. And now, I'm excited to begin building my brand, HopeAlways, and inviting women like you to join the community.
So, if you're in the midst of your ugly journey, just know this – there’s another side waiting for you. And I'll be here to support you every step of the way.
