Embracing Equity... Introducing Supply Chain 50/50

Here’s a simple truth: there aren’t enough women in supply chain.??

If you’ve chosen to read this, we suspect you already know this. And there’s a good chance that if you’re reading this that you also have some degree of interest in altering the current reality. We’re glad you’re here.?

Since 2019, we’ve been on a mission at boom! Global Network to empower women in supply chain for the benefit of all. Today we’re working with hundreds of women in over 45 countries to do just that. We’re also working with the many different stakeholders across supply chain organisations who all have a role to play in ensuring that we create and nurture environments where equity thrives and where everyone wins. (Hint: if you work in supply chain, that’s you.)?

But we want to do more. And as today is International Women’s Day – with its global call to action to #EmbraceEquity – we’re feeling particularly bold.?

We’re challenging ALL supply chain leaders to set bold targets for a 50 percent representation of women through all echelons of their supply chain workforces.?

We told you we were feeling bold. We hope you are too.?

But we don’t want to leave you out in the cold to figure out how on your own.?

So, in addition to what we’re already doing through the boom! community, today we’re launching Supply Chain 50/50 as a place to share thought leadership and best practices and as a vehicle for arming you with the knowledge and tools to help you achieve gender parity and equity of opportunity in your supply chain organisations.
