This exposure highlights a critical issue in our society: the exploitation of individuals' faith and trust by those who use dress codes, props, and staged settings to present themselves as enlightened beings. While it is essential to acknowledge that not all spiritual leaders or practitioners engage in such deceitful practices, it is equally important to educate people to avoid falling into these traps.
Many of these so-called miracle workers exploit psychological concepts such as the placebo effect, where people's beliefs and expectations can influence their physical and mental health. They create an environment that appears mystical and authoritative, often wearing specific attire and performing in elaborately decorated spaces to enhance their perceived authenticity. These tactics can be highly effective in convincing people of their supposed divine powers.
However, it is crucial to remember that just because someone performs a miraculous feat does not mean they are an enlightened being. As mentioned in the Vedas, "Aham Brahmasmi," which means "I am the universe." This profound statement reminds us that we are all powerful and capable of solving our problems and reaching our goals. We must not surrender our autonomy to someone simply because they demonstrate some magical abilities.
Interestingly, we rarely see the same level of devotion towards magicians, even though they perform equally impossible-looking tricks. Why is this the case? It comes down to the context and the setup. Magicians present their acts as entertainment, while these fraudulent miracle workers present their tricks as divine interventions. The difference in perception lies in the intent and the environment in which these acts are performed.

It is essential to understand that people from all religions and backgrounds can fall prey to such deceptions. This phenomenon is not limited to any one community. We must educate ourselves and remain vigilant, recognizing that while these individuals are at fault, we also bear some responsibility for allowing ourselves to be deceived. For these "babas," performing such acts is a way to generate revenue, gain followers, and build a brand.
Do we really need someone to float lemons or produce apples and oranges out of thin air to believe in ourselves? Must we rely on someone's positive suggestions or placebo effects to realize our potential? The answer should be a resounding no. We are not powerless. Believing in ourselves and our abilities is the key to overcoming challenges and achieving our goals.
This article is not about dismissing the existence of a higher power or the miracles of nature. We should continue to have faith in the universe and the unexplainable ways it helps us. However, we must be cautious about placing our trust in individuals who claim to have special powers based on their ability to perform miracles. Instead, let us believe in the magic of the universe and the natural superpower or energy that exists around us.
In conclusion, while we respect all faiths and individuals, we must be aware of those who may exploit our beliefs for their gain. Our intention is not to hurt anyone's feelings or condemn any religion but to educate and raise awareness. Let us embrace our inner strength and believe in our capabilities. By doing so, we can protect ourselves from falling prey to those who seek to take advantage of our vulnerabilities.
