Embracing diversity at SAP Argentina

Embracing diversity at SAP Argentina

On November 22, SAP Argentina hosted a public event in Buenos Aires to share our Diversity & Inclusion initiatives. Through this original setup, we aimed to attract new and diverse talents.

With over 60 attendees, the event was a hit, and served as the perfect platform for our own employees to share their experience at SAP on a 1-1 basis with our guests; thus, showcasing our company as an employer of choice.

Our employee network groups were in charge of the activity:

  • The Business Women’s Network (BWN) is an employee-driven initiative at SAP to help women advance their careers and the company’s business. By sharing professional insights, best practices, education and experience, we help one another develop skills and career advancing opportunities to drive SAP’s success.
  • Our Differently-Abled People Committee (DAP) in Argentina was the first employee network of its kind at SAP to bring volunteers together to work on inclusion of people with disabilities.
  • Pride@SAP is concerned with empowering each and every employee to be true to who they are by creating a safe and welcoming environment for the LGBT community (lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgenders).

Together with HR and Marketing, all three employee network groups ensured everything went according to the plan. Special thanks to all contributors!

The agenda included presentations from Carolina Vaccaro, Cristina Bottolo and myself, BWN, DAP and Pride@SAP leads respectively, as well as Constanza Qui?ones, our HR Director.

Manu Lozano, the head of Fundacion SI, a renowned local organization focused on social inclusion and corporate social responsibility, was our guest of honor. He joined our summit to share the work of the organization and explain why inclusion is key in all aspects of our lives.

Through this event, we sent a clear message: Both companies and society in general must learn to embrace, value and promote differences. As a result, people will feel empowered to be authentic and deliver better results.

Our guests were left in awe of SAP’s amazing work to be inclusive of all communities, irrespective of gender, ability, sexual orientation or gender identity/expression.

By enabling a business beyond bias, SAP is helping the world run better and improving people's lives.
