Embracing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Building a Stronger Cedar Rapids

Why DEI Matters:

Diversity, equity, and inclusion are more than just words. They are the keys to a thriving local economy. An inclusive business community opens its doors to people of all backgrounds, fostering an environment of belonging, collaboration and innovation. Equity ensures that opportunities are accessible to everyone, regardless of their background, while diversity infuses fresh perspectives and creativity into our workforce. Together, these elements create a strong, dynamic community that can weather any storm.

Resources for Your Journey:

To support our members in their commitment to DEI, we offer a range of valuable resources:

  1. CEO’s Commitment Resource Guide: Leading an organization is a privilege and a responsibility. Our guide helps CEOs make a meaningful commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion within their organizations.
  2. Latinx Resources: Tailored tools and information to promote the inclusion and support of the Latinx community in your workplace.
  3. Asian and Pacific American Resources: Resources dedicated to fostering inclusivity and equity for the Asian and Pacific American communities.
  4. African American and Black Resources: Support and guidance to advance diversity and equity for the African American and Black communities.

Join Inclusive ICR:

We invite you to take an active role in our mission by joining Inclusive ICR, a coalition of local employers and organizations dedicated to fostering diversity and inclusion within our workforce. As a member, you can play a pivotal role in:

  • Developing DEI Resources: Contribute to the creation of valuable resources that empower organizations to become more inclusive.
  • Networking Opportunities: Connect with diverse professionals through social and professional networks, fostering collaboration and shared learning.
  • Internship Opportunities: Help increase the number of diverse high school and college students who intern with ICR employers, providing them with invaluable experiences that will shape our future workforce.

Formerly known as the Employee Resource Group Consortium (ERGC), Inclusive ICR is a powerful platform for driving positive change in our community.
