Change fatigue is when you feel exhausted by the constant changes happening in your world—changes that are often beyond your control. These changes can disrupt your life in the most beautiful ways, but also in the most painful.
Yet, change is the only constant in our lives.
Looking back on my own life, I spent the first three decades conflicted about change. I’ve always been ambitious, and as a Sagittarius, I craved change to feel alive and experience that sense of adventure.
But the internal turmoil I felt made the journey painful.
What I didn’t realize was that I was changing so much with the waves of life, but I forgot to change myself first.
As Rumi wisely said, “Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.”
Take, for example, when I left my job at NATO. It wasn’t an easy decision, but I knew I was ready for a new challenge.
Many things changed externally: I went through a divorce, relocated, stopped living paycheck to paycheck, adjusted how I managed money, sought out clients, refined my services, and learned what it takes to become an entrepreneur. I had to learn to live outside the NATO bubble, and the list goes on.
But what I struggled with most was my mindset.
I was holding onto my NATO mindset while trying to live the future life of a successful entrepreneur. That didn’t go so well.
My conscious mind was determined to embrace this new life, but my subconscious, where all my limiting beliefs and fears resided, kept me stuck.
It wasn’t until I began changing from the inside out—taking stock of my beliefs and facing the hidden fears beneath them—that my life truly began to improve.
I experienced a significant “tower moment,” where my foundation crumbled, and I nearly lost everything.
At first, all my fears came to the surface, but I realized that unless I faced them and rose (FEAR: Face Everything And Rise), I wouldn’t be able to rebuild myself on a solid foundation.
My previous foundation was built on sand, not strong enough to withstand life’s storms. Everything had to crumble so I could change within before I could change without.
And that’s the note I’d like to share with you today. For anyone going through changes, big or small, the emotional turmoil inside can be overwhelming at times.
Today, I felt compelled to share this edition of my Notes from the Future newsletter. Recently, several conversations with clients have centered around navigating change and dealing with change fatigue. It's a common struggle—seeking quick wins, instant gratification, or temporary relief in the face of uncertainty.
But real growth requires us to go deeper, to confront and heal the root causes by releasing our fears. When you take stock of your life—whether it’s your health, relationships, career, or finances—you’ll find that what you fear often holds power over you.
These hidden fears, lurking just beneath the surface, can lead to increased stress and fatigue, sometimes without us even realizing it.
True freedom comes when we face our fears head-on, stripping them of their control over our minds. Only then can we reclaim our energy, our peace, and our lives.
I hope these reflections help you feel grounded and balanced as you navigate change with a strong centre, from the inside out.
Change is inevitable and embracing it can lead to new opportunities and growth.
"I embrace change as a natural part of life’s journey."
"With every change, I find new opportunities for growth."

Notes from the Future
Hey you,
I see you.
I see the weariness in your eyes, the fear in your heart, and the uncertainty clouding your thoughts.
You’re scared of the unknown, scared of what lies ahead, scared of whether everything will be okay as the world you know seems to crumble around you.
But I also see you holding on, taking one step at a time, guided by faith rather than sight.
Every part of you longs to stay in the familiar, the safe, the comfortable.
But deep down, you know that true growth, true greatness, never comes from staying in our comfort zones.
I want you to know that a year from now, as I write this to you, you’ve made it to the other side.
You are free, liberated to live the life you’ve always dreamed of creating.
The greatest act of self-love you chose was not to Face your Fears and Run, but to Face your Fears and Rise.
You kept moving forward, shedding every thought, emotion, and habit that once held you back.
Thank you.
Thank you for the courage you showed, the inner work you committed to, and the strength you found to feel the fear and move forward anyway.
Because of you, because of your unwavering faith, because of God’s grace, and because of your resilience, we’re now living the life that once felt like a distant dream.
And trust me—it only gets better from here.
So keep going. You’ve got this.
And more importantly, I’ve got you.
Love, your Future Self.
