Embracing Change: Fall, Growth, and a Fresh Podcast Journey

Embracing Change: Fall, Growth, and a Fresh Podcast Journey

Hello, Fall! Well, kind of. Although fall is upon us, here in Northern Arizona, we got a little tease with cooler temps, only for it to jump back to the 90s during the day and 80s at night...ooof, I’m ready for that real fall weather! Still, the house is decorated, and all the cozy fall smells are in full swing. Can you believe how fast this year has flown by? So much has happened, and it feels like everything is evolving.

Earlier this year, I hit a plateau, a point where I felt stuck, despite seeing the growth PartsEdge has experienced over the past few years. I found myself wondering, "Am I doing it all wrong?" But the truth is, the numbers don't lie. After investing more time in myself and my skills, I realized that it’s not about doing it "wrong" but about how much more I can achieve with the right coaching, tools, and support in place. Now, I'm not just aiming for success...I’m going after the unimaginable!

One of the biggest changes this year amongst many other things has been the re-brand of The Parts Girl Podcast, NOW, Trailblaze Your Path Podcast! I’m so excited to highlight some recent guests who bring to life exactly why I love podcasting; stories of passion, growth, and insights that push our industry forward.

Navigating Multiple Roles with Systems and Support | Featuring Liza Borches

Liza Borches joined me to discuss how she balances the roles of CEO, wife, mom, and friend. Her secret? Leaning into systems and support networks. We talked about how vital it is to build processes that help juggle multiple roles and responsibilities. It’s a real lesson in finding structure in the chaos. Her personal stories and dedication to mentorship reminded me just how important it is to give back and lift others as we grow.

Balancing Professional and Personal Life | Featuring Jamie Farley

Jamie Farley, after an incredible 25-year career at Toyota, shared her journey of pivoting into a new role at Performance Brokerage Services. She opened up about balancing professional achievements with personal life—a conversation we can all relate to. Jamie’s insights into parts management and the dealership buy-sell process also shed light on the behind-the-scenes work that often goes unnoticed.

Inaccuracy in Appraisals and The Power of Coaching | Featuring Brian Kramer

Brian Kramer and I talked about the $1,600 average variance in dealership appraisals and how to combat those inaccuracies. Through coaching and reverse engineering, Brian emphasizes that accuracy in appraisals should always come before margins. His insights into coaching and continuous learning have left me with so many takeaways for improving dealership processes.

Efficiency and Communication Between Departments | Featuring Randy Kobat

Randy Kobat shared his vision for bridging the gap between dealership departments—specifically the service and used car departments. We discussed how technology and clear communication can speed up sales and increase profitability. It was a conversation packed with actionable strategies for improving dealership operations and customer experience.

I am beyond excited to share these episodes with you and hope you’ll tune in if you haven’t already. This journey both personal and professional has been one of growth, and I’m excited for what’s to come. Let's embrace the changing seasons together and keep blazing that trail!
