Embracing AI: Enhancing Your Ways of Thinking and Communicating

Embracing AI: Enhancing Your Ways of Thinking and Communicating

I'm really passionate about technology! I consider myself a second wave adopter, which means I like to take my time learning about new technologies and hearing early adopters' feedback before I dive in to try them out for myself. It's always exciting to see how technology can benefit my everyday life.

I've noticed that as #AI becomes more prevalent, some people have concerns about our thinking and analytical skills being replaced. However, my experience with AI has been completely different. It actually saves me time on research and data analysis, allowing me to use my unique human capabilities to enhance the results.

For example, when I need to write an email to a diverse audience, I'll write the draft and then use AI to help me improve it. I always provide context when asking for assistance, which has not only improved the outcome but has also taught me a new prompting technique that enhances my #communication #skills.

Once I receive the answer, I don't just use it as is. I take the time to read it carefully and make it more relatable and human. This is where we all can make a difference. If you simply take the answer without applying your own humanity and wisdom, you might miss out on valuable insights. But if you take the time to learn from it and think critically, you'll be working hand in hand with the information provided. In my experience, this approach has made me much more productive.

Let me share another example that's related to automation, but not necessarily AI.

I've noticed that using Excel formulas to speed up tasks can sometimes lead people to overlook potential errors or inconsistencies in the data. It only takes a few minutes to pause, review the information, and run some tests to ensure accuracy. This is a gentle reminder to take action and use automation tools to enhance, not replace, our #criticalthinking skills.

You might be curious about what AI has taught me and how it's shaping my thinking process. Here are some examples:

1. Structuring a complete message: Since learning from AI, I've noticed a significant decrease in the number of follow-up questions in my emails. AI has taught me the importance of clear and organised communication, even reminding me to include a simple greeting like "I hope this email finds you well." By comparing my writing to AI suggestions, I've improved the way I present ideas in a message, making it more actionable and easy to understand.

2. Adding some new words to my vocabulary lately, which has been really exciting!

3. Trying out the #prompting technique has been quite a challenge, but it has definitely helped me become more descriptive in how I communicate. It's all about setting the right context, being clear about what you want, and considering the tone of your message. It's been a great way to improve my communication skills.

4. I've realised that I can sometimes be a bit too emotional, but that's okay - we're all human, right? I've even had some funny moments using my AI Chat agency app as a sounding board for my ideas. It's actually helped me develop my #emotionalintelligence, believe it or not! In this point, I would like to mention that for us as humans finding a confident with whom you can share your vulnerability or drastic opinions openly in any minute of the day, might be difficult sometimes, knowing that it is an AI with 0 possibilities of judging you or leaking your feelings to others, makes you more comfortable, help you to release that feeling in the exact moment in a safe space, and even thought this might sound crazy, I have seen a benefit in the management of emotions, that’s just great! .

5. I have re-learned mathematical formulas to find a solution with 2 incognito.

I know there's still so much more to explore with AI, and I'm excited to keep learning and growing.

There are other AI usages I have explored but not able to use properly because scepticism of other humans, LOL. That’s ok, one day they will realise it and will allow to embrace it!

It's important to go at your own pace and use AI responsibly and ethically. Don't let doubts hold you back - trying new things is the best way to learn and grow.

Just keep in mind that first adopters usually get the advantage of experience and improvement, don’t let your doubts to get behind. What you don’t try you don’t know.

Finally, just a small remark, I know a person who decided not to embrace it yet. I admit this person do not need it now, because has a huge memory, processing capacity and research skills that makes him quite unique. Nevertheless, he said he will be one of those late adopters because one day this will become another commodity.
