Embracing the 2023 Work Model: Work from Anywhere, Not from Everywhere

Adapting to the work and life balance of 2023 requires businesses to find options for employees to be able to work remote or hybrid. Requests from employees to work remotely stems from a desire for better balance between work and life. Recent findings from a Gallup survey matches that sentiment – there’s been a significant shift to hybrid and remote models. With 47% of workers preferring a hybrid model, businesses are under pressure to adapt and provide flexibility to their employees. At Cox Consulting Network (CCN), we believe this is not just a necessity, but an opportunity to redefine the future of work and life balance.

People First, Productivity Follows

The "people-first" mantra has always been at the heart of CCN. We understand that the workforce of today values flexibility, autonomy, and the ability to balance their professional and personal lives. While the finance and accounting industry still enforces a traditional work model, we choose to shape a new one that aligns with the evolving expectations of our team and clients.

We believe that when we prioritize people first, productivity will follow. This means focusing on the mental and physical well-being of employees, helping them find work-life balance, providing resources to support productivity at home or in the office, and building a supportive community at work. CCN consultants enjoy the perks of permanent roles while benefiting from the flexibility of time-off and remote work opportunities. They can set their schedules to align with their unique needs and life circumstances.

Happy Employees = Productive Employees

At CCN, we believe our consultants’ happiness is directly tied to their productivity. Our commitment to fostering a supportive, flexible, and engaging work environment is ingrained in everything we do. A focus on our consultants’ well-being creates a positive and thriving workplace. We work hard to make our team feel valued, empowered, and motivated to give their best every day.?

Work from Anywhere, Not from Everywhere

Owner of CCN, Andy Cox, recently said on his personal LinkedIn post:

“Since the pandemic, it seems the goal, and now the norm, is the ability to work from anywhere. And now, more and more, I ask myself if that's a good thing. Over the past year, I began saying:

The goal should not be to work from anywhere, but rather to not to work from everywhere.?

The Work-Life balance we desire should always be opposing...even when you love your job. Compartmentalize the two and disconnect fully. So called Work/Life integration is a recipe for stress because it means constant availability where work and life are now one big slurry.”?

At CCN, our workplace culture encourages work-life balance, and one of the ways we've done this is by offering remote work opportunities. We also offer employees the opportunity for longer vacation days to explore new places or take time off for personal growth.??

Pioneering A New Path

We'll continue to embrace the hybrid-remote work model, and we look forward to playing a hand in reshaping tradition to better serve our workforce. It's refreshing to see more and more companies join us in a path that values the well-being and satisfaction of our people in tandem with strong business outcomes.
