Embrace or Reject?
The Christian Experiment is about one simple question: if a church or ministry has a legitimate opportunity to reach and help more people, should they embrace such an opportunity, or should they reject such an opportunity?
For example, from 2013 – 2023, AmazonSmile generated over $400,000,000 for U.S. charities. That was 100% FREE money. Numerous churches and ministries throughout the U.S. participated in Amazon’s program. Only God knows how many people have been reached and helped with that kind of money.
How much more money could’ve been freely received by churches and ministries that weren’t aware of this program, though? Or, how many more people could’ve been reached and helped by churches and ministries that simply didn’t take the time to register with AmazonSmile?
What if none of the churches and ministries would’ve participated in AmazonSmile? How much money would’ve been left on the table, 100% FREE money that could’ve been used for the good of others?
For those who aren’t aware, nonprofits can legitimately participate in an affiliate program. Charity Navigator points out that affiliate programs give nonprofits “additional, unrestricted revenue.”
So, if a church or ministry has a legitimate opportunity to reach and help more people, should they embrace such an opportunity, or should they reject such an opportunity? Ultimately, that is what The Christian Experiment is all about.

Yesterday, I reached out to eight different ministries with a combined Facebook following of 2,714,900 Christians. If only 1% of their Facebook book followers were to buy one of the $4.00 classic Christian book deals, we would distribute 9,049 Bibles to our persecuted brothers and sisters.
Keep in mind, it doesn’t require any cost or effort for these eight ministries—just using their God-given influence.
In all honesty, I don’t expect any favorable response. “Why not,” do I have to ask myself. If they were on the other side—if they were a persecuted Christian without a Bible—they would want Christians in the West to use every legitimate opportunity to help distribute Bibles.
So, for the last time: if a church or ministry has a legitimate opportunity to reach and help more people, should they embrace such an opportunity, or should they reject such an opportunity?
