embrace new tech...
Technology and #innovation... for many, we have a love hate relationship with it. Take for example the mobile phone. It’s the device / the #technology that has connected us with the world (and thankful for this) but on the flip side, has it also stolen our attention? (For the marketers in the room,?IYKYK.)
?? Consider you at a live event, are you really living in the moment? Or, are you capturing the moment on your iPhone, and living it later?
??I am a big advocate for the mobile phone — it’s a constant throughout my day. And yes, I do depend on my iPhone (and #Siri) quite a bit, (thanks Apple) and I’m very much okay with that.?I can't imagine not having it handy (and no, not just for social. If it wasn't for my ID/license, I might never need anything but.)
Are you really living in the moment? Or, are you capturing the moment on your iPhone and living it later?
?????? And now with #artificialintelligence (AI) and #augmentedreality (AR), many are trying to wrap their heads around the potential impacts on their business, and their everyday. My advice, don't automatically jump to the negative it can do.
????♀? We build and look at the use cases that will compliment, that will augment, that will replace the tasks you don’t want to be doing, giving you time back to do the things you enjoy; look at the efficiencies it could provide and new opportunities we didn’t even know existed.

? Just like the mobile phone. Ask yourself, how many calls do you actually make in the day vs the amount of time spent connecting with friends on #socialmedia, checking the weather, sharing and capturing moments with your portable camera, paying for lunch, scheduling appointments, listening to music or podcasts, navigating the city, asking it to search something for you... and so on.How you use your mobile device has changed.
Ask yourself, how many calls do you actually make in a day?
Things we might not have anticipated when we were first introduced to the mobile phone are now staples we can't imagine not being able to do. As soon as we go to the negative, to what we think it will take away, we immediately miss out on the full potential technology and innovation can bring.
Can true innovation flourish when we start with limits?
?? Yes, I’m excited for AI and AR — the combination of the two can be something magnificent. Just keep an open mind to the possibilities…?I know I am.

1 年Love the concept … always start with what IS possible?… anyone who disagrees should carry a large map around for a week and not touch GPS! Lol.
