Embrace the Journey: Finding Hope Amidst Self-Doubt

Embracing the Journey

It's normal to have a bit of doubt as we climb peak to peak in the journey of our lives. There will be times when it seems like our get up and go has got up and went, and starting again feels impossible. This is a shared feeling that even the most seasoned among us has struggled with. It includes all those "successful" people you and I compare ourselves to. Sure, we look at their success as proof that it can be done, but we often forget they aren't giving us a play-by-play of their journey. They, like all of us, are only showing the parts they choose to share with the world, including the doubt they had to overcome to begin.

Navigating Self-Doubt

There are those of us who are certain that things will turn out okay. I feel like I fall into that category. Optimism has always been a trait that I'm happy to have. But even this self-belief comes with self-doubt. Why? Because I don't have a crystal ball to predict the future any more than you do. So what do you do to get over the doubts?

Embrace the journey. Discover hope and growth amidst the self-doubt in this week's Beyond Hope Project newsletter.

Showing Up Matters

I can only speak for myself, but it begins with showing up. Anyone can show up on the good days because they’re good! It's easy to go all-in when everything flows smoothly. But ever notice how quickly those days pass by? It's because we chose to show up on the days that really matter—the hard days. When everything in our bones is telling us it's not worth it and that we're failing. That's just fear talking because it doesn't want us to learn a new skill.

What I've realized in my evolution is that it was showing up on the bad days that made the good days appear. I've learned so much on my roughest days, and I'm willing to guess you have too.

Finding Hope and Forgiveness

So if you're rolling that familiar rock of self-doubt up the next hill, hang in there. You've done this before, and you'll do it again. This is life, and everyone knows it, no matter how many filters they put on their latest posts. Life is about gathering the rough stuff on the path, taking the time to be aware of it and cleanse it, learning to love and forgive yourself. You aren't failing if you're moving. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other. Hope will continue to show up. You're doing great, no matter what you're telling yourself.

Power-Up Challenge:

This week, I challenge you to identify one of your toughest days recently and reflect on what it taught you. Journal about it, share it with a friend, or use it as inspiration to push forward. Recognize that it's okay to have rough days, but showing up for yourself is what matters most.

Closing Thoughts:

Every step you take, no matter how small, is a victory. Embrace each stumble as part of your growth. Keep moving forward, and trust that the journey is unfolding exactly as it should.

I hope this helps.

??Power-Up.
