In an age of multi-tasking, agility, speed, sometimes slowing down is important. Nothing could be more invigorating and energizing than slowing down intentionally. It is important to know you cannot fix everything, you cannot solve all the problems. Accepting this reality will help you find peace and grow.?
We are in a never-ending race where we are constantly pushing to do more, learn more, achieve more, keep up with everything around us. What if we could embrace slowness and found joy in missing out (JOMO).
JOMO?—?Joy of Missing out is about being happy in your present state than being driven by fear of missing out (FOMO) on what others are doing.?
How do you embrace JOMO?
Choose what matters to you intentionally?—?Learn to prioritize and say no to all your distractions from people, apps, invitations and be in the present. Given any task, ask yourself these questions?—?

Celebrate your intentional choices?—?Instead of feeling guilty for missing on things, celebrate your choice to prioritize yourself and your wellbeing. Focus on your hobby, reading books, relaxing knowing that you are exactly where you need to be. Always make choices that align with your needs than that of others.
Slowing down isn’t about giving up on your goals or responsibilities. It’s about making specific choices that align with your life values and what truly matters to you.?
JOMO is about finding joy in being exactly where you are and not worrying about what you might be missing elsewhere. It is about choosing contentment over constant activity. Use the free time to do something that you truly love to do. Essentially choose quality over quantity and let go all other things.?
Think about the last time you were truly happy and at peace? Was it during a hectic day filled with doing activities or in quiet moment where you spent your time relaxed? Prioritize your wellbeing over fear of missing things out. Find joy in the simple meaningful moments that often pass by without we are being aware.?
Take it as a challenge to slow down, disconnect from phone, social media, TV and reconnect with yourself. By doing this you choose to miss out on unwanted things, and you might gain much more.?
