I once came across a fascinating story that I felt compelled to share with you all.
A man was approaching an elephant herd that was being restrained by a thin rope fastened to their front legs. He was astounded that the enormous elephants were not even attempting to cut the rope and liberate themselves. He conveyed his anxiety when he observed an elephant trainer standing next to them. The trainer explained, "We tie them up with the same size rope when they are very young and considerably smaller; at that age, the rope is sufficient to hold them."
They are taught as children that they cannot separate as adults. As they grow up, they are conditioned to believe they cannot break away. They never attempt to free themselves because they still think the rope can hold them. It is this false belief of the elephants that denies them their freedom for a lifetime.
Likewise, many people do not try to work towards success just because they failed once earlier. It's crucial to keep trying and avoid getting too trapped in exaggerated notions of failure.
When we fail, we must overcome it and grow from our errors. We must acknowledge that not every concept will succeed. After a failure, we must give ourselves some time to gather our thoughts and determine what we need to do differently. Above all, be willing to learn and grow.
Sharing a passage on embracing failure from my book “Connecting DOTS... Your Way to Discover a Better You”
Life is unpredictably uncertain. You can plan as much as you want, but remember that life does not always go as planned. You will undoubtedly encounter some unexpected circumstances or failures along the way. Accept and don't be afraid of failure, because it's better to try and fail than to never try at all. Instead, view failure as a chance to learn and grow.
When you get better at failing, you develop a fearlessness that allows you to step outside of your comfort zone, take risks, and achieve your goals.
Learn to embrace failure!

2 年Failing is nothing but temporary defeat. Now, only a player, warrior or a leader knows the meaning of the words "temporary defeat". The others are struggling with something that they don't know what it is. Thank you for sharing the newsletter Shivangi Reja
