Being a business owner and a parent can be messy and chaotic to say the least. ?
?Between finding time to run your business, work on your business and in your business plus handle the responsibilities of raising one or more tiny humans, it can sometimes feel overwhelming. ??
Worried about missing out on important milestones of your kids life, or not being present in your business when you need to be. ?
It can be hard to figure out when to prioritize what, and what to focus on at any given moment. ?
I would say it is an art of sorts learning to find the perfect balance amongst all the moving parts.?
This last week as both kids battled a virus, things were tough. It was definitely the messier side of being a business owner and a parent. I had to reschedule meetings, cancel others and use technology to assist in other ones. ?
There were tears, there was frustration and there was surrender. At times, it felt as though I didn’t know which way was up, but thankfully with the tools I had, I managed to ensure that I stayed grounded and used the time to focus on things that I wasn’t able to get to when I was busy with face to face meetings. ?
I listened to podcasts while needing my children needed to cuddle. I would even rest a bit so the I would have the energy to continue to care for them once they woke up. I also got some amazing insight on how to price new packages and wrote down new ideas for content to put out to all of you. ?
Most of all, I reminded myself that it is a true blessing to be able to be at home and have the freedom to re-arrange my schedule to take care of my children without having to ask someone for permission or take time off from work. This is something that I cannot put a price on, as that is one of the reasons I decided to go into business for myself. ?
The freedom to live my life on my own terms. ?
If you are a business owner/parent and want to learn tools to help you find the balance between being a parent and a business owner, let’s jump on the phone and have a quick chat.?
Let me give you some pointers on how you return to a place of balance and thriving and let’s remove the overwhelm once and for all!?

5 年Thank you for sharing. Every time I read about these experiences from moms I now get scared and cringe a bit. I feel oddly unprepared for this child. Even broke down last night while caring for my new puppy (a non human). The unknown is scary and there are certainly moments of doubt about how I'll be able to tackle any of this, business, new mom (child & puppy). Great reminder of using the tools we already have, even if it's a simple release of tears.
