Reflecting on my 34 years in the Pharmaceutical, Surgical, and Hospital Industry, I find myself deeply connected to a field that has shaped not only my professional life but also my personal values and aspirations. My journey from Medical Representative been characterized by relentless effort and unwavering dedication, culminating in my current role as Senior General Manager. In this capacity, I oversee critical functions such as Sales, Marketing, Training, Development, and Purchasing, all of which are integral to the success of the organizations I worked for and the well-being of the communities we serve. I began my career as a Medical Representative, a decision I made with intention and foresight rather than by chance. This choice has proven to be pivotal, especially in light of a significant issue that persists in our industry today: the inadequate focus on training and motivating young professionals. Many newcomers often perceive their roles merely as a means to sell drugs, overlooking the profound social responsibility that accompanies our work. We are not just salespeople; we are stewards of health, dedicated to saving lives and promoting well-being through the application of science and pharmacology. Navigating the competitive landscape of the pharmaceutical industry is undeniably challenging. However, I firmly believe that the importance of building and nurturing relationships cannot be overstated. Strong relationships can significantly enhance the effectiveness of Medical Representatives and other professionals in the field, enabling them to connect with healthcare providers and patients on a deeper level. With my extensive experience, I am committed to guiding and developing today’s youth, ensuring they understand the true essence of their roles. Moreover, I recognize that even seasoned managers can benefit from fresh perspectives and ongoing education. My approach emphasizes the necessity to "unlearn, learn, and if necessary, relearn," fostering a culture of continuous improvement and adaptability. While there are numerous consultancies and freelancers operating in this space, I am excited to introduce a unique structure through my consultancy. I have observed that many colleagues and friends offer individual training sessions or third-party training for companies, but my focus will be different. I aim to organize comprehensive training and coaching sessions, both online and offline, specifically tailored to meet the needs of companies across India that are seeking to enhance employee development. This approach will not only provide valuable insights but also create a collaborative environment where learning and growth can thrive. It was Elders wish and Nature’s Choice that I am starting this new venture. It was always my passion to impart the little knowledge/science/skills which I have Learned, Unlearned and again Relearned I am thrilled to announce the launch of “AVIRATH CONSULTANCY SOLUTIONS,” a venture that embodies my commitment to education and professional development. Our dedicated website, www.avirathconsultancy.com, will serve as a platform for sharing resources, insights, and opportunities for growth.
