Might you - or someone you know - be interested in executive coaching?

Well if so, then good news! Because I'm looking to selectively build out the executive coaching clients I work with.

I've recently gained my Professional Certificate in Executive Coaching via the Henley Business School (check out my recent post on my journey towards becoming a coach).

So why it might make sense to work with me in a coaching capacity?

?? First: why get a coach? We're all faced with challenges and opportunities in our working lives. Those things that keep you awake at night. The factors that you know are holding you back. Or that golden opportunity you'd love to grasp...but you're not quite sure how to get started. Working with a good coach will help you:

• Find the time to give these challenges and opportunities the attention they need. It's a bit like having a personal trainer - you commit, you do the work, you put into action, you repeat.
• Get support with thinking through topics. Who is your sounding board with whom you can work through these topics? It's not easy to do this kind of deep thinking — and tap into the insights that come from it — on your own.
• Think differently about your situation. Your coach will help you identify the limiting beliefs that are holding you back, and shine a light on the levers for change that are within your reach, yet are currently hidden to you.
• Make stuff happen. Your coach will agree a clear, realistic goal for each of your sessions together. That in turn will support your definition — and ownership — of practical next steps for you to put into play. The result: real change.

??What topics are suitable for executive coaching? Strategy; business model; product & service development; adopting new technologies (such as AI); leading change; scaling your business; leadership & management skills; career progression; interpersonal issues; optimising your personal performance...the list is effectively infinite.

?? My approach to coaching: I aim to provide a warm, friendly, supportive space for you to explore your opportunities and challenges, unearth powerful insights, and define practical next steps. I recognise that a great coach/client relationship is key. Our sessions will be fully confidential and, for your peace of mind, backed up by a contract. We'll check in regularly to ensure you're getting value from our time together.

?? Coaching certification: I recently secured my Professional Certificate in Executive Coaching from Henley Business School, having received training, studied, and practiced over the past year. The certification is triple accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF), Association for Coaching (AC) and the European Mentoring & Coaching Council (EMCC).

?? My career background: I have 25+ years working as a tech/business transformation and innovation consultant, across a very broad range of industries and FTSE 100 companies. Key to my success has been my ability to work well with others, be empathetic to their needs and motivations, and model a positive mindset that helps everyone bring their best self to the proceedings. There are few scenarios that I haven't come across, which sets me in good stead when it comes to quickly understanding your situation and being able to support you.

?? Other qualifications: I hold an MBA (Technology Management specialism), BA (Hons) in Psychology & Mgmt. Studies, Post-graduate diploma in Marketing (CIM), Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management (AIEMA), and various project & programme management qualifications.

?? Bonus: I am a hyper-curious lover of learning, meaning my career experience and qualifications are really just the tips of the hump-backed iceberg when it comes to the value I can bring to the coaching relationship. My areas of interest include practical philosophy, systems thinking, performance & mindset, entrepreneurship, technology, and health & well-being.

?? How it works: we'll start with a FREE introduction & chemistry call. We'll talk about the opportunities and challenges in your working life, explore how coaching could help, and you'll get a feel for what it would be like to work with me. As a follow-on, I'll pull together a package of coaching sessions based on your needs. We'll meet at a frequency that works for you. We'll use Zoom (or similar), or can meet in person if you're London-based.

?? What about payment? I’m offering a voluntary, pay-what-you-can-afford rate for now ??. I do intend to make a decent living from coaching in due course - but the most important thing for me right now is to form strong coaching relationships with great people.
