Embark on a journey beneath my skin, navigating the job search to its ultimate destination.
In the initial two months of this year, my objective was to unravel a dilemma: should I embrace the thrilling waves of consulting for multiple clients or dedicate myself to a singular project? This period became a pivotal decision-making phase in my professional life.
To fully understand, we must first step back in time.
The journey commenced over two years ago, in November 2021. During a weekend stroll with my wife, as I reflected on my career as a board advisor and management consultant with a boutique approach, I realised its unsustainability. Therefore, for my 45th birthday, two years and two months ahead, I penned a note to myself, outlining a vision to pursue.
This brief memo significantly influenced my direction.
By June 2022, the personal note I had written began to materialise. I realised that this was merely my perception, skewed by my role as the memo's author rather than its reader at the intended time. Such insights are only gained in hindsight.
This journey led to three interviews and the establishment of Kurá? media within the next six months. The first job would have dramatically changed my family's life, and I am grateful the hiring manager chose someone else. I declined the second opportunity, and only time revealed the wisdom of this decision.
The third interview process spanned three months. During this time, I resigned from my project with Ringier Axel Springer Polska , betting on a handshake agreement with CRUXO . Ultimately, I relocated my iMac to Karlin, beginning a new chapter as its fifth co-founder.
The Moment of Realisation
Despite my commitment, the project did not unfold as envisioned. Realising the need to move on was both freeing and daunting. It was liberating to acknowledge the need for change and daunting to face the uncertainty of the unknown.

Be true to yourself: "What would you do if you weren't afraid?"
The interviews provided a mosaic of experiences, each teaching me something new about myself and the world. Being authentic and transparent helped build connections that went beyond professional relationships.
Reflections on the Path Forward
Looking back, the journey was as much about personal growth as finding a new role. Job hunting strengthen my resilience, confirmed the importance of clarity, and the courage to pursue what truly matters.
For those at a career crossroads, my advice is to know what you want, why you want it, and let that guide you. Prepare not just with your resume and pitch, but by understanding the value you bring. Approach each opportunity as a step towards a future that aligns with your professional and personal values.
Embarking on a Thrilling New Chapter
After a reflective two months with my iMac idle by the piano at home, it's time to return it to Karlin. We are on the verge of starting a thrilling new chapter, the details of which will be shared soon. Stay tuned.
Will it be the long-lasting success? Both my new employer and me believe very much so.
To You, Standing at the Crossroads
For anyone contemplating change and feeling the uncertainty of new pursuits, remember the ethos of trust and resilience taught by every maze in "Who Moved My Cheese?". Do not fear the unknown. Embrace it, trust in your journey, lean into learning, and remember, you're not alone.
