EmaraTax is now live

Go to?https://eservices.tax.gov.ae/?to access the FTA’s online services. This web address will remain unchanged even after the transition to EmaraTax. This dedicated microsite contains important information about EmaraTax and is intended to help you use the new platform. More content will be added over time.

Please keep submitting any tax returns and making payments due as usual. Any important updates relating?to the submission of returns or the making of payments will be communicated here, on our social media channels, or through email.

Reset the Password

If you already have an account with the FTA you will need to RESET password before you can login to EmaraTax for the first time. If you have already successfully reset your password please login to EmaraTax with your new credentials.

You can reset your password using one of the two options below:

Option 1: By Follow the instructions in the email sent.

Option 2: If you did not receive an email follow the instructions given on the FTA Portal

A new tax platform designed to provide a better experience for taxpayers managing their tax obligations

EmaraTax will enhance our ability to administer taxes in the UAE, enabling better, faster decision-making and earlier engagement with taxpayers that need support.

EmaraTax integrates with influential government entities such as the UAE Central Bank and national technology-based programs including UAE PASS to streamline user experience. This also aligns with the national digital agenda to leverage emerging technologies and build a solid digital infrastructure that serves the people and business community of the UAE.

?EmaraTax is intuitive, easy to navigate and offers improved self-help options for?when you need assistance. It will also be available on mobile soon.

Using EmaraTax…

Create an account/login

Your existing FTA account details will be migrated to EmaraTax

If you already have an account with the FTA your details will be migrated to EmaraTax. All you will need to do is reset your password the first time you login to the new platform.

If you can login to your existing FTA account and have access to your registered email account. A detailed set of instructions to guide you through the password reset process will be sent to you by email.

If you can login to your existing FTA account but do not have access to your registered email account

You will be able to reset your password using a different process. A detailed set of instructions to guide you through the password reset process will be available here.

Submit tax returns & pay

Keep submitting any tax returns and making payments due as usual. Any important developments relating to the submission of returns or the making of payments will be communicated here, on our social media channels, or through email.

Important enhancements have been made to the way you pay

FTA has introduced some significant enhancements in this area to help taxpayers.

  • Generate a unique payment reference number for GIBAN payments
  • You should always include the unique reference number when making payments using GIBAN. This unique number is used to ensure that your payments are accurately allocated against your selected liabilities.
  • UAE banks and other financial institutions are integrated with EmaraTax
  • This means that when making a GIBAN payment the unique reference number will be used to validate the GIBAN and the amount payable If the details you provide at the time of payment are incorrect, your payment will be rejected .
  • Use MagnatiPay to make online payments

We no longer accept eDirham as a payment method. MagnatiPay is our new payment gateway. It accepts payments made using any Visa or Mastercard prepaid, debit or credit card. Please contact your issuing bank to redeem any remaining eDirham balances.

Apply for a refund

Please keep submitting any refund requests. All your information including pending refund requests will be shown in EmaraTax. Any important updates relating to the submission of a refund request will be communicated here, on our social media channels, or through email.

Important enhancements have been made to the way you apply for a refund

FTA has introduced some significant enhancements in this area to help taxpayers.

If you are registered for VAT or Excise Tax

You can now submit one consolidated refund request for all eligible credit balances for each tax type for multiple tax periods. All evidence supporting your refund request can also be submitted online together with your claim.

If you are a home builder

The process of submitting and tracking the status of your refund application online has been further enhanced. Details of how to submit a refund request will be available here.

If you are an accredited Foreign Mission or Foreign Diplomat

You can now submit refund requests on EmaraTax and track their status real-time. Details of how to?manage your account and submit a refund request will be provided directly to you.

If you construct or operate a Mosque

You will be able to submit refund requests on EmaraTax and track their status real-time. To do so, you will need to create a new user account in EmaraTax.

If you are a Business Visitor

The process of submitting and tracking the status of your refund application online has been further enhanced. Details of how to submit a refund request will be available here.

All UAE beneficiary account details will be auto-validated by EmaraTax before the payment of a refund, making the process of paying refunds both faster and more secure.
