Open rate refers to the number of clients who opened your email.
Opt-in
Opt-in pertains to when a potential customer would leave their emails to sign-up to your email campaign. Basically, opt-in is subscribing. Opt-ins would usually be placed on the sides of your site.
Double Opt-In
Much similar to opt-in, it also deals with subscription of the individual to your email campaign. Their difference lies in the fact that in double opt-in is for confirmation that these individuals really did subscribe to your email campaign.
Opt-out
This term doesn’t have a positive connotation to it, as the name implies, opt-out is somewhat related to opt-in, but this happens when people would stop their subscription. In basic terms, it means to unsubscribe.
Personalization
This term is not actually too technical, but it is still important for you marketing campaign. Personalization is when the email that you send your subscribers has a sense of individuality. Instead of sending out an email with the greeting of “hello everyone,” you make it more specific, probably by turning it into “Hello (insert name of the person).” This is actually a technique in maintaining the loyalty of your subscribers.
Lead
Whenever email marketers mention the word lead, they are pertaining to the individuals who will subscribe to your email updates. In simpler terms, leads are your potential customers.
CTR
CTR is an acronym for Click-Through Rate. It measures how many people have checked out your site through the email that you have sent your subscribers.
Hard bounce
Hard bounce is when an email message that you have created has not been received by your client. This technical difficulty is caused by a permanent reason, it could be because the email that was given isn’t working anymore.
Segmentation
Segmentation is a process wherein email marketers segregate their subscribers based on demographics or behavior. Clients can be separated based on their location, their frequency of checking out emails or anything! It is up to you how you want to separate your subscribers.
