Email Marketer Checklist. What to check before sending emails?

??Relevance and importance of the subject line for the client.

The topic should catch the eye, fall into the sphere of interests of the client, otherwise the letter runs the risk of being left unread.

??Whether the subject line matches the content of the email.

The subject line should not be misleading and promise something that is not in the letter itself, otherwise the subscriber will feel cheated.

??A recognizable name and email of the sender.

It is important that the sender's address is on the corporate domain. Firstly, this is the requirement of postmen; secondly, if a brand is mentioned in the address, then the credibility of this sender is higher.

??Topic length.

For the subject line, “Brevity is the sister of talent” is an axiom.

??The presence of a headline.

It is often simply forgotten, but this subtle element can help convey your message to the subscriber even before opening the letter and explain everything that does not fit in the subject line.

Content.

??The presence of one main purpose of the letter.

Don't be overwhelmed or tempted to talk about everything at once.

??A noticeable guide to action.

A clear and understandable call to action is your chance to get more response.

??Literacy.

Typos and punctuation errors can ruin the writing experience.

??Correctness of prices and promotional codes.

??Correctness of links.

Do all the links work and lead to the right place?

??Availability of contact information.

Is it clear how to find you: website, phone, social networks? Make it easy and quick to get in touch with you.

??Justification of the reason for sending the letter.

If there is no phrase: “You received this letter because you are our client / subscriber / gave consent to receive mailings” (or another, similar in meaning), the letter will not pass moderation in mailing services.

??There is an active unsubscribe link.

The "Unsubscribe" link is visible in the desktop and mobile versions, and the mailer does not cut it off. Subscribers should be able to unsubscribe. Otherwise, the number of spam complaints will increase and the sender's reputation may suffer.

??Alternative text and links below images.

Correct signatures to visual elements will help those recipients who did not display pictures in the content of the letter.

??Availability of a web version.

When there is a link to the web version, the subscriber will be able to view the letter in the browser if he is not satisfied with the view in the mailer.
